STEM Kits for Kids Age 8-10, STEM Toys for Ages 8-13 Model Car Building Kit

Bought several for fun project at family reunion, was challenging for the kids to put together but they worked great! These cars were zipping all over. Would highly recommend.

My grandchild is 9 1/2, and had a blast putting this together. Even the instructions were very understandable for a child -- for the most part. Now, make no mistake, adult assistance will be needed a couple of times just due to what is needed and a child being unable to assemble it completely alone. BUT, aside from that, my grandchild loved attaching the wires and having that experience of building a toy primarily alone, that also worked very well. Despite it looking weak, it is pretty durable and it was extremely fun with a built-in sense of accomplishment. Will not only definitely buy again, but will also recommend.

These are awesome and my 7 year old grandson loved building them. They need much better instructions. The wording doesn’t make sense in some cases. Like AI translated Chinese into English. The quality is what you would expect. Not the best but it works. Some of the wood broke off in assembly. Overall though, the kit works and the kid had fun building it.

My 10 year old got this for Christmas yesterday, and he is thrilled with it! He immediately put it together with no assistance, and only had one small bit of damage to a front fender, which did not effect the function. (He did the damage popping the piece out of the sheet, it was intact when it arrived.) He managed to do all the wiring and assembly himself, and was driving it around the house successfully by dinner time! He said that "I almost asked dad for some help doing the heat shrinking part, but he told me where a lighter was and I was able to do it with no trouble on my own. This is the best STEM kit I have done in a while!" (He is a cub scout and has been trained to use knives, lighters etc. safely and correctly from a young age. You might decide if your kid needs help with that part.) I am considering keeping this on my list of potential birthday gifts to his buddies who are science/tech minded!

I wanted to love this but the pieces were cheap. The entire kit did not come with clear instructions. It didn't even look like something an adult could assemble. We returned it and got our money back. I wondered why the price was so low for a STEMS toy. This isn't something I would keep, even if they gave it to me for free.
