This was a Christmas gift for my best friend, who was born and spent a good portion of her life in England. While she’s fairly Americanized now, her love for a proper cuppa and a quiet afternoon tea moment is still very much intact. Every year she eagerly waits to see what yummy tea gift I'll get her this year. This sampler kept up the tradition amazingly well. Size & presentation: Forty-four tea bags may not sound dramatic until you open the box and realize it’s basically a guided tour of Twinings’ greatest hits. Each tea is individually wrapped, neatly organized, and easy to browse. It feels generous without being overwhelming, which is a tricky balance to strike. Tea quality: It’s Twinings, and it shows. The tea tastes clean, smooth, and well-balanced across the board. Nothing tasted stale or flat. Each cup felt intentional, whether it was a bold black tea or something lighter and more aromatic. Variety & beauty: The variety is the real star here. From classic Earl Grey to green teas, herbal blends, and chai, there’s something for every mood and time of day. The color of the brewed teas is beautiful too, rich ambers, soft greens, and warm spiced tones that make the whole experience feel cozy and calming. Great variety. I’ve now found a new favorite flavor. Blackcurrant Breeze tastes and smells so nice. No debris in the bottom of my cup when I’m finished drinking, which is a huge plus for me. I am new to this brand, but I’ve loved the quality of Twinings.

When you are choosing teas, there are differing levels of strengths that each bag produces per cup. Twinings definitely receives a solid 4 stars for the strength of the tea per bag per cup, 5 stars for the variety of teas included in this sampler (spanning the gamut from herbal to strong black teas), 5 stars for the taste of each tea, and 5 stars for the differing blends. Great value for the size; great gift for that tea lover in your life!
