## Description

This dual-band SDR bundle contains everything you need for a full DIY ADS-B installation. 2 NESDR Nano 2 Plus SDRs are included. These SDRs contain an R820T2 tuner along with an RTL2832U USB interface/demodulator. They also contain an ultra-low phase noise 0.5PPM TCXO. This very high accuracy clock ensures the ultimate in tuning stability, even in extreme environments. They have a frequency capability of approximately 25MHz-1700MHz. The NESDR Nano 2 Plus are very small in size, which makes them perfect for portable and embedded applications. Each SDR is lab-calibrated and serialized for easy 'plug-and-play' Stratux software installation. Each comes with a calibration certificate with the calibration value & serial number, along with a pair of adhesive labels which you can apply to the location of your choosing for easy identification. There are 2 sets of antennas included. 1 small-sized, medium-gain meant for ultra-portable and cockpit applications, and 1 medium-sized, high-gain meant for portable and ground applications. Appropriate adapters and RF cables are included to facilitate various installation options. A split-Y cable is also included for those who wish to use a single antenna to feed both SDRs. Note that splitting a signal in this matter involves some signal loss. Please take this into account when setting up your system. There is a full 2-year parts & labor warranty on all bundle components.

Review: Almost perfect solution - I used this set to make a police scanner streamer. I use OP25 software to stream 2 P25 police scanner networks to Broadcastify. I did but different antennas that were better tuned, but the included antennas were close enough for initial setup. * Temperature sensors help with frequency offset * Small enough to fit side-by-side (must remove shell) I removed the shells, and cut off the infra-red sensor to put a heatsink on the module. I installed the Pi, radio modules, and antennas into this 3D printed case. I added 2 fans to keep everything cool, was pushing over 80° C (175° F) but with the fans & heatsinks it stays down around 40° C (105° F). This setup does the work of 2 $400 scanners, plus a PC for streaming. All for under $150 and significantly less power consumption.

While priced a bit higher than I would have liked, I was pleasantly surprised when I had to contact support months after the desertcart return period had closed. One of the antennas turned out to be defective, so I emailed the vendor, and within a week Tasha had gotten me a replacement antenna to my door. The unit works well now, and despite the SDRs getting quite hot, the Swiss cheese style case I made is able to keep processor temperatures around 60°C without active cooling. I'm happy.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Reversed Labels

I like how the SDR modules come with calibration information and serial numbers set accordingly. However the antenna labels are seemingly backwards on the kit I received. The longer antenna in each pair for the longer wavelength of 978 MHz are labeled as 1090 MHz and vice versa. The impression you get from the product information is these folks really know their stuff but a fundamental mistake like mislabeling the antennas doesn't inspire confidence (like what else are they overlooking). Would've given five stars if the labels were right because otherwise this is a great kit.
