Good Alternative to Kitchen Aide Brand
This grain mill works very well. Its solidly built and has put us on the path to a healthier diet. We only use it to mill wheat berries for flour. We typically run the whole berries thru twice on the finest setting to get the consistency we like. It takes a minute to be sure but we're not in a hurry, we're making bread after all and mill enough to make a couple loaves of sourdough each week. It doesn't get hot when milling and is not overly loud either. Compared to the kitchen aide brand attachment this is a great bargain. Cleaning is also easy and takes just a brief minute to clean up.

Run the grain through twice.
This fits my mixer and works great. I bought it to try out before I buy a whole $500+ mill machine. This does the job. I do have to run the grain through twice though.

Not super fine
It is decent for the price, but it definitely does NOT mill wheat very fine. Won't mill like ur $300+ stand alone mills, but it will work ok till we can afford a more expensive mill (which is why we bought it). I put the wheat through twice & that seems to help break it down better. You could also sift out the big chunks if you wanted to get the finer flour. It kinda does everything in a range of super fine to almost a cracked wheat size when you have it on the finest setting. I haven't tried any of the coarser settings since the fine setting gave me everything all in one. Lol I did about 3 cups of wheat and put it through twice. The kitchenaid was a little warm but nowhere near hot. Mill was not hot. Noise level is exactly what I expected (having used a mill before). The bread I made from the flour it milled turned out good. I used a bread machine for it tho (which is different than what I usually do) so I have yet to make bread the normal way. It's easy to use.

Great way to have freshly ground flour.
Quick and easy to set up and use. Great addition to my KitchenAid stand mixer.I like the texture and taste of freshly ground grain. Cheaper than flour from the store, and it stays fresh and retains flavor better when ground within a month or so of use.

Not very effective
This mill does not grind wheatberries very finely. I have to run them through it several times before they result in something acceptable. Also, when I took it apart to wash it like the instructions said, it won't reassemble correctly no matter what I try.

Good for dabbling or for fun, but I have doubts for the serious baker.
Short verison: Do not buy this thinking you will get something equivalent in fineness to store flour or one of the standalone electric stone mills. I bought this, then bought an electric stone mill, and there is a tangible difference in fineness. Long version: If you're used to the texture of store bought flour, and that's what you're going for in milling your own flour, you're going to be disappointed with this mill. On the finest setting it does mill pretty fine, but for me its still a bit "grainy" and you can feel it when you first start working bread dough. It doesn't leave the same amount of dusting on your fingers the way store bought or stone-milled flour does. Even running through a second time doesn't help. From what I have read, this level of fineness is typical with attachments that use this kind of steel burr mechanism including the authentic KA attachment. So I have my doubts the KA version will get you finer flour. One of the other criticisms of this mill is the screw feed of the hopper has a lot of clearance with the cylinder wall its in. I get why they did that (so you can mill corn or things larger than wheat), but the tradeoff is that you wont get the last of the wheat berries through the mill. They have to be dealt with on cleanup. This mill will do well if you need something on that is on the "coarse side of fine." I used soft white berries to make cream of wheat and it was absolutely incredible when it came to taste and texture. Pancakes are also good. This would also be a good mill for cornmeal. Back to wheat though. It will make bread and the taste itself is good, but I found it came out slightly denser with a tighter crumb. Even if you autolyse what comes out of the mill before mixing/kneading, the dough feel might not be what you're used to. On a positive note: it is easy to clean. Two thumb screws and it comes apart in seconds and breaks down into only a few parts. Cleaning brush is included and makes cleaning easy. At the end of the day, if you just want to dabble with milling and see the $59 price tag as the price of admission for some fun experimentation, it might be worth giving this a try. Do not buy it thinking you'll get the same fineness out of it as store bought or out of a mockmill/nutramill, because you won't.

Ezekiel bread..using this mill grinder
Ok guys ..so i like making bread. So one day I was watching the chosen season 5..And it came to a part when Jesus was looking at John,Abraham and then Ezekiel..I wasn't sure who was Ezekiel..so I did some research..And finding out God told Ezekiel to making bread out of beans..So here I go ordering this Mill attachment grinder and some beans. I did make the bread🥰🙏🍞it tasted good. This mill attachment grinder is ease to clean,it functional, the size fits perfectly on my kitchen aid stand mixer..and it didn't heat up as I grind the beans., and it was alot of beans.

Ease of use and cleaning
I grind all of my own claims so I find this particularly useful because it fits on the KitchenAid. I highly recommend this for your grand grinding needs.

Buy this if you like to eat metal shavings
If i could give this product zero stars I would. We went through the proper procedure of grinding some rice up to get rid of any metal, we did this twice and then cleaned it up after no more metal was present. The next day we ground up one hopper of grain amd towards the end it started to tear itself up. Lots of metal shavings.
