Comments and use of Micro Switches
Fast shipment from vendor. True quality micro switches. Why use lessor quality no name switches? Great for many uses. A very good value from buygoo. Many people use them for limit switches on CNC devices. You can't go wrong having these in your parts drawer for projects. If you are a maker, or just curious of my latest use for these switches, please read on. It seems that the dark web is now educating evil do'ers on how to hack garage door openers. I have the extra buttons on my remotes controlling garage lighting. Lights that lately seem to have minds of their own, at the same time, strange vehicles are parking in my neighborhood. I looked on the web for garage door continuous alarms and found they are selling for 90$ a door. All were wireless and advertise easy installation. Well for me they may be easy to install however alarms need to be utmost dependable. My garage ranges in temperature as much as 140 degrees F. every trip around the Sun. Summer heat rapidly ages micro digital electronics. (Christmas holiday light timers suffered premature deaths). Winter sub zero temps destroy lithium batteries. So a dependable door alarm looked like a "old school hard wire" maker project. I designed a simple cam based system using only two micro switches (one for each door) and one continuous tone piezo alarm. Despite it's simplicity and low part count it can; Of course notify of both doors closed. Notify of a door open. Notify of a door in motion. Notify of which door is in motion. Notify both doors are in motion beginning each at the same time. Notify both doors are in motion starting in rapid succession. Be easily heard anywhere in my home with just one piezo alarm. The wide variety of alarm notifications are provided by the piezo modulation caused by two cams of different cam circumference. No dangerous spring/lift mechanism manipulations required. Although I machined my cams from black acetal they should be a easy part to make by 3D printing. To make the alarm audible anywhere in my house I placed the single piezo alarm in the air return duct of the Hvac system. Sheet metal duct work reflects high frequency sound very well. It also contains the sound to inside the house. No sound is audible in the garage or outside. With air returns in nearly every room it sounds like the alarm is coming from everywhere. I attached a short video descriptor example to provide better clarity, and at least some understanding across different languages. The video shows concept, implementation, and acoustics. I made a spectral display of the acoustics so you can see as well as hear the sound echos in the duct work from a single door traverse. Although I have increased the garage door wireless remote security to variable multi-factor authentication, it is nice to know that a fail safe alarm is behind it all. Keep On Making!!!!!

They are nice.
Used for my cnc as emergency stops to stop an axis from crashing. They worked well.

Worked as intended.
These roller style micro switches worked as intended for my project. Just be sure to note that the DC amperage rating is far far less than AC on these switches.

Solid
Work adds they should and seem well built. Used as limit switches so impossible to determine longevity as I avoid using them.

Exactly the parts I needed
I actually only needed two of these switches , but figured that if I had spares , I'd probably never need them . Murphy's law .
