Worked great in Sydney Australia
This voltage converter power strip worked great! While hotels sometimes have USB ports, I find this more convenient so I can plug in multiple items from the same plug. This one worked great in Sydney, Australia. It does make some noise but not enough to keep you up at night. The space between the plugs is great if you have big power blocks.

Worked in Italy and with a Mini- flat iron too!
Get this for my girlfriend for a 2 week trip in Italy. She has curly hair but get it blown out for the trip. It gave her no problems charging her phone and 2 battery packs and bluetooth headphones. She put it to the test when it came to her mini- flat iron from Amika she bought in Sephora and it worked! She was careful and used it by itself with nothing else plugged to it to be safe. It didnt die on her during her trip and she was thrilled. The fan didn't bother her at all. She would turn it on in the evening to charge everything and at night she slept with it on. The fan was not noisy at all. Compared to our air purifier, the noise of the fan was a joke. Before she left to explore during the day, she would turn off the converter and unplug it. All in all, she says it worked like a charm.

Great quality, not as efficient as basic converters, fan can be audible
An amazingly versatile voltage conversion device with many forms of input and output protection. If there is a fault, the output will shut off and the LED will turn red. You then have to power-cycle the converter to resume normal operation. I would prefer if it automatically resumed operation after an input abnormality, as such abnormalities do occur in countries with poor electrical grids. The only shortcoming is that since it has true sine-wave output, it uses a fair amount of power even with no load: 7 Watts. This is not a concern if you are traveling, but does add up to 5kWh per month if you use it as part of a permanent installation in a 240V household. In such an application, a traditional transformer would be more suitable. If it is idle (no load), the fan keeps turning on and off. The sound resembles that of a head seeking on an older style hard disc drive, in its characteristic and in its loudness. It will only bother you if it is next to your bedside. With modest loads, the fan runs continuously, and is very quiet. I also tested it at high load, with 180W of incandescent bulbs. The fan ran fast, making a noise that was audible throughout the room, however it was much softer than a running air conditioner, so I doubt it will interfere with sleeping. The exterior surfaces stayed at the same warm temperature as when it had no load, maybe even slightly cooler.

💥💥❤️❤️BEST 240v to 120v Pure Sine Converter❤️❤️💥💥
I live and work oversea in Asia. I have used several of these converters (downgrading the voltages). My first two were designed horrible where you can't tell between regular vs downgrade outlets. Very Confusing! Be careful of that because it burned out my hair clipper. My current one is good but getting a bit noisy. I needed an additional one that is pure sine for a brand new laptop and phone that I DID NOT want to take any chances. I decided to go with this BesTek. I have been using this for several months in my office. It is extremely quiet, not like the others. Can barely hear the fan as well as it is cool to the touch. Your laptops that you bought in America can be plugged directly into the outlets in Asia. HOWEVER, you are taking a big chance. I use this with a surge protector to protect my laptops that I use for work and to monitor my main home in America. I am able to CHARGE my sonicare toothbrush, trimmers, etc.. I am also able to RUN my DELL WD19 Docking Station and Monitors.

Did not work with a 180 watt flatiron
Specifically purchased for a trip to Ireland / UK after reading many reviews. As someone with considerable experience with electronics, I opted for this model as it was rated for 200 watts of power. My wife's flat iron is rated (right on the unit itself) for 180 watts. This DID NOT perform as it should, but kept powering itself off and faulting with a red LED indication. result? unhappy wife. Worked OK with charging cellphones and such. Do yourself a favor and wait until you arrive @ your destination and purchased an inexpensive unit there. A flatiron in Ireland, rated for that voltage was only 10 euro. BEWARE

Worked well in Spain
I had been using the compact version with the multiple heads that plug immediately into the outlet for 2 decades. Those worked but in most cases where too heavy and did not fit snug. Now that it was time for a new adapter/converter, I opted for the power strip. I could not be more pleased. Since Spain uses the outlet that is on the cord, I can not comment on the adapters that came with the product. It did power my phone and laptop easily. The caveat is that is does make an intermittent whistling/whirling particularly when you have multiple devices, especially a laptop, charging. I can see how it can bother some people but I learned to tune it out. I probably would not advise having it close by if you are both charging multiple devises and trying to sleep. That said, charging a single phone did not yield that annoying sound. I also opted for Bestek specifically because I have the option to buy additional outlet heads (set) to expand my international travels. If you are not planning to travel to atypical places, probably any other adapter/converter will suffice. Happy travels.

Great product, better customer service
I bought this for an overseas trip, specifically because it was advertised as being able to connect a curling iron. We used it throughout Europe with no problem. On a recent trip in the states, I brought it along for extra charging ports in our hotel room. This time, when my wife used the curling iron, the unit stopped working. Not sure if it was fault of the curling iron or the adapter, so I contacted Bestek customer service and explained the issue. They asked me to send a video showing that the adapter wasn't working. Once they received that, they shipped me a new unit free of charge. The customer service provided by Janice was outstanding. I highly recommend this product

Blew up in my hand! Be careful.
I was disappointed to have the unit blow up in my hand as I was plugging in my camera to charge. This is my 2nd Bestek travel convertor to fail on me while overseas. I did recognize that the power is unstable in the Philippines, even in the Raddison Hotel. I had to have building maintenance throw the breaker in my room to restore power. This unit must have good protection for my CPAP. Cellphone, Camera and Oxygen Concentrator were not damaged. Other than that, the unit is smoked and have to throw it away. Luckily the mall is next to the hotel. I have to find something to replace it while on vacation.
