Volleyball Spike Trainer

Used to work with outside and middle hitters. Holds the ball well and comes apart to store easily in a duffle bag.

This spiking trainer has helped me tremendously. It was a long time since playing any sort of jumping sport and I have some decent hops but my timing and spacing were horrendous. The spacing was a huge issue when picking up volleyball again since I grew up playing basketball and had a habit of jumping directly under the ball and it made me always hit the ball out because of this. Ignore the terrible net violation but this spike trainer helped me to get more comfortable with max jumping and hitting the ball at the peak of my jump, and allowed me to generally find the right spacing for my takeoff and penultimate step. I wouldn't overly rely on this because it absolutely does nothing for timing the ball because not every set will look the same. Otherwise, this thing is very good quality, it stores away nicely and compactly, is easy to put together, and does the job well. The pool noodle does tear after a good number of uses so I used the athletic tape on the points of contact that hold ball and it worked perfectly fine. You may need to reapply with time, but again this helped a lot with understanding my approach and take off spacing, and ultimately was very much worth the purchase.

Purchase for my daughter. She loves this item and it works so well! This product is very useful and it’s worth the money. It is a great trainer and has helped improve her skills making her able to jump higher to get the ball and strengthen her ability to spike. This product is really enjoyable and it’s an awesome volleyball trainer. It is also a quality small business that’s cares about their customers and products.

This is the perfect tool for teaching volleyball basic for an upcoming players. The hold is good to and the ball placement is adjustable for any size hitter. Good product for the price.

I purchased it for my 15 year-old daughter who is a middle blocker in high school. The spike trainer works very well. The only thing it does not do is help with timing, which requires a more real time game situation and/or a live practice environment. I’ll give it more or less a 4 1/2 star rating.
