can someone explain the differences between the different battery systems for Milwaukee M-18 Lithium ion and the Fuel system?

they are all m18 lithium ion batts, some batts have different amp hours, run time, capacity to run larger demand tools, skillsaws, sawzalls. the fuel system is the brushless motor design creating more torque using less energy, the brushless tools seam to be much better, your more expensive tools are the FUEL brushless design.
