Review: Incredible value! Better and more practical than my original Apple keyboard. - I originally bought this Macally keyboard as a temporary backup, but after using it, it has officially become my main keyboard! My original Apple Magic Keyboard, which I used for 5 years, recently started malfunctioning, and this budget-friendly keyboard completely saved the day. For such an affordable price, the value is absolutely incredible. It has a full-size layout with a dedicated number pad, which makes typing numbers and passwords so much more efficient. Compared to the very shallow keys on the Apple keyboard, this one has a slightly longer key travel. It gives a very satisfying, tactile feel with a bit of a clicky sound—typing on it feels so comfortable and responsive for long working sessions. Since it’s a wired keyboard, it adds a cord to my desk, but honestly, it gives me total peace of mind. I no longer have to worry about low battery warnings, bluetooth lag, or connection dropouts. It’s rock-solid and always works the second I turn on my Mac.
Review: A Classic Keyboard for my Mac-Mini Pro - Let me tell you, I've been around the block with keyboards, and the Macally Ultra-Slim USB Wired Keyboard is a real gem, especially if you're rolling with an Apple Mac-Mini Pro. First off, the build quality is solid. It's got that no-nonsense, dependable feel that takes me back to the good old days when products were built to last. The keys have a tactile response that's just right, not too clicky, not too mushy – perfect for extended typing sessions. Now, the number keypad is a game-changer. It's not often you find a compact keyboard that offers this feature. For those of us who crunch numbers or work with spreadsheets, this is a real blessing. It's like having the best of both worlds – a streamlined keyboard and the convenience of a full-sized layout. The USB wired connection is a reliable choice, and there's no need to worry about batteries or connectivity issues. Plug it in, and you're good to go. Plus, it's Mac-compatible, so it syncs seamlessly with your system, just the way you'd expect. In a world of flashy, overpriced tech accessories, the Macally Ultra-Slim USB Wired Keyboard stands out as a practical and affordable choice. It's a real workhorse, and it gets the job done without any fuss. So, if you appreciate simplicity, reliability, and functionality, this keyboard is a timeless addition to your classic Mac-Mini Pro setup.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does the keyboard have a port to connect a wired mouse? I am blind so can't see any pictures of it. thanks.**
A: My Macally Ultra-Slim keyboard does not have a port to connect a wired mouse. The standard slim keyboards provided by Apple with desktop purchases used to have one or more USB ports. I do not know whether the Apple keyboards still do.

**Q: It is hard to determine the color from the picture and it doesn't say in the description - is this keyboard white or silver?**
A: the keys ante bottom/sides are white
the plate behind the keys are silver.
pretty neat and sleek

too bad there is no port for the mouse

**Q: How many USB ports does this keyboard have?**
A: there is no usb port to hook up your mouse.

you end up losing a usb port on your computer to accommodate the mouse.

ugh.

**Q: had this for a week and it just stopped working. its plugged in so what could be wrong ?**
A: Hi Monkey Business,

Can you please give us a call or send us an email so we can assist you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good keyboard replacement
*by K***K on May 3, 2021*

Bought this keyboard for work to replace my Apple keyboard that went south for the winter. (It no longer functions properly.) I also wanted a full size keyboard, because I wasn't crazy about the mini keyboard — especially because of the number keys and the delete key only went in one direction. This keyboard is light to the touch when I type, but has some weight to it, so it doesn't move around while I type. It looks good with my Mac and my keyboard shortcuts work the same. I made sure to follow the directions when I first hooked it up as other reviews recommended. The Mac will want to map to the new keyboard. After I did that it worked fine, except that the Caps lock and Function lock lights didn't come on. So, I figured — since I had it plugged into a USB Hub — that I just needed to unplug and replug it back in. That worked. Now the Caps Lock light seems to come on properly. However, there's no problem with the lights when I plug it directly into the computer. Other than that I really like this keyboard and plan to buy another for home use. EDIT: The caps lock indicator didn't stay on in either case. it would eventually become nonfunctional, which can be a problem when I need to log in and can't see what i type. The company, sent me a replacement and i am glad to say it seems to be working better (but it still does go out at times). I'm still pleased with the feel of the keyboard and with the company response.
