So good. Just heat it up, serve with eggs & toast.
I really love this stuff. I mean really. Always have. And it's so easy: fry/heat it in a pan just long enough to cook the egg or two that you drop in with it. Toast with strawberry or raspberry preserves, milk, juice, YUM!! There's definitely a calorie or two in this stuff, so I don't let myself gobble it the way I always want to. I also wish the price was cheaper, but oh well.

Hubby loves as an occasional weekend treat- with eggs
Sometimes it's nice just to open a can and not worry about the fat content. This is nothing like real corned beef and hash, but the way I make it, it takes 3 weeks. That's certainly not possible to enjoy often. These cans have teeny weeny perfectly diced waxy white potatoes and rather mushy but tasty corned beef. My husband and I share a can with a couple of fried eggs, toast and juice and that starts a weekend day off quite easily and happily. It's easy to just heat up a can and serve it. I usually heat mine in a nonstick skillet- it can stick to other pans a bit. If that happens, just soak the pan a bit and then it is easy to clean. I've never tried to put it in the microwave. Heating it in a skillet will cook a bit of the fat out of it. I'm 47 and mom used to serve it to us- it's really not changed much since I was a kid.

Pan - Fried Deliciousness!
The recipe hasnโt changed for the last 50 years. My mom made this for special breakfasts, like Christmas morning. Crispy brown on both sides. Eggs, and buttered toast. We would put grape jelly on the toast, layered with Mary Kitchen and eggs. The best! We called this โdog foodโ, as kids. ๐ The cans were pretty dent resistant. Greasiness was minimal, quality has always been good. Makes a great speedy snack, easy, fast meal. Well worth the cost.
