Great Console Cable
I purchased "OIKWAN USB-C Cisco Console Cable, 6ft USB Type C to RJ45 Serial Adapter Essential Accessory of Cisco, NETGEAR, Ubiquity, LINKSYS, TP-Link Routers/Switches for Laptops" for £12.99 in the USB-C 1.8m option. Functionality This console cable does exactly what its meant to. A lot of modern laptops don't come with anything but USB C anymore, so getting a console cable that's USB C means I don't have to faff around with adapters anymore when I'm in a pinch. Compatibility I can confirm this is compatible on W10 and W11. All you need to do is install the correct driver; I've used the VPC driver from ftdichip (dot) com for years. The driver works on Windows and MAC so this product will too! Quality The product is durable and both ends have survived being stuffed into ports and rammed into bags with no issue. Connectivity This console cable will work with any device that has an RJ-45 style console port. I've used it on Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto kit to name a few. Speed This console cable will work at whatever speed the connecting devices supported baud rate is. Ease of Installation This product needs a FTDI driver that does not come with the product. I have used the VPC driver from ftdichip (dot) com for years.

Excellent purchase that worked perfectly first time.
This was an excellent purchase that worked perfectly first time and helped me to regain root access to reconfigure a 2nd hand enterprise switch for a homelab.

Unfortunately not something I can recommend based off the unit I got sent
DoA. Dead on Arrival, zero activity, no light, no connection with anything (and yes, using as a console cable, so it should've been compatible but it still wasn't compatible, and wasn't about speed yet or just slow as I tried for ages) Not sure if I just got a faulty one or if they're often like that but it isn't worth the money or the hassle of trying to get an exchange by sending back and getting a new one. Was hard to use when it should've been simple.

The cable arrived faulty, it connected to devices but random characters, spaces and squares appeared in the output and when I typed, there were spelling mistakes but the device took the commands as I had typed them and not what I saw.
