ECONOMICAL AND EASY TO INSTALL
Thrilled with these basement water alarms! Easy to install and very economical, these alarms alert me when/if my sump pump pit malfunctions. This product gives me peace of mind. LOVE them!

Excellent simple water leak alarm
I bought these because I have to filter my water for my saltwater aquarium. I use 5 gallon buckets and they fill so slow I would forget about them and i would have water everywhere. I just clipped one alarm on the inside of the bucket and it worked beautifully! The alarm is loud enough to get your attention, but not awfully loud. It alarmed 4 times and my floors are dry! It stopped alarming immediately when the sensor is taken out of the water. I am going to put 1 under my sink and 1 by the sump pump in the basement.

Work well but be careful of the cover!!!
These products work well; they alarm when they get wet and the remote sensor is terrific when you need it. The alarm is loud enough to hear and it gets pushed out to your phone and email. Ignore the comments saying that they don't stay connected to WiFi -- they're not SUPPOSED to. They re-establish their WiFi connection when they need to alert; otherwise it's shut off to preserve the battery. Battery life is good and the app is fine. The only real issue is that the shell cover which keeps water out is kept under pressure by a thick gasket and there is an electrical connector that must be tightly pressed for the external water leak sensor to work. All of this is secured by a tiny plastic hook that will break if you use a screwdriver to open the back. You MUST use the included prying tool or you will ruin the units when changing the batteries. They 100% should put a sticker on the back telling people to use the included tool to protect the unit!

Easy to use, peace of mind.
I just ordered my second one. I've had the first one over a year, no issues. After a leak in my basement that did not get noticed right away, I needed something to alert me if there is ever an issue. Now I have one by the water heater & furnace, and another in a corner that will get water sometimes in heavy rains. Easy set up. Will send an alert when the batteries get weak.

Never worry about undetected water leaks again!
SwitchBot did it again! Great product & easy setup & connect to my SwitchBot hub. Very important to me for keeping watch 24/7 on my houseboat bilges & engine compartment for water intrusion, while I’m not at the boat !!

100dB no way, more like 1dB
I bought this to monitor water level in the bilge of our boat, since our A/C condensate drains there. I figured a loud alarm would tell me when I needed to turn a small pump on to get rid of the water from the A/C, as well as an early warning if there were any other leaks. Does this sense water? yes. It is very fast to sound the alarm when water is detected. The only problem is you cannot hear the alarm. this would work well for under the sink leak detection, but don't expect to hear it anywhere in the house more than 10 or so feet away unless there are no cabinet doors or other obstructions. If the game is on in the living room forget it you won't here it. You will have to rely on the message it sends to your phone (which is sometimes slow to come through), if you have it on you or your phone hasn't put the app to sleep. The app is ok but you have to create an account in order to use it. Over all it works, but unless you are paying attention you will likely miss the alert that you have a leak and find out the hard way, which is what this is supposed to prevent.

A+, better than xsense dectectors
A+, put one on top of water heater & two in pan esp given I recently had a leak that would’ve been a disaster of 50 gals flooding me. I had xsense on it that fortunately decected the leak. However I like these betttr than xsesnse because 1) the one sensor end is small that can fit in confined spaces of the water heater pan, 2) don’t need a hub to connect, 3) I have option to mute the sensor so I all I get are notifications. I might get more to replace the xsense ones that I already have in other places of my rental unit.

It seems to work well enough... but software is janky, and the battery door sucks
Id prob give this 3.5 star if I could. The Good: -It appears to do as advertised, it linked up with Alexa, and also Google Nest/Home. -It does indeed send alerts promptly if it detects water. -Uses AAA batteries, easy to replace. -Form factor/Aesthetics is/are nice, and water sensors are EVERYWHERE on it. -The probe is clutch for someone like me (buying it for a sub pump). Im surprised there aren't two separate models though. -Very Affordable ($20 for one, cheaper for more-- i got 1) -The sensors appear to be sensitive enough to capture real water situations, without being so sensitive that they alarm for minutes if theres a mist or whatever in their proximity (like, near a sub-pump water line)-- finally, we'll (probably) stop getting false alarms. The Bad: -The compartment where the battery lives.... is stupidly hard to open. The included tool basically bent and broke immediately on all three sides-- its just not up to the job. A flathead screwdriver does work, but may break the plastic clips. Note: I hate most plastic clips. Id actually suggest cutting back the clip near the wire if you have this same experience... it wont fit together AS nicely, but the friction fit is probably good enough, especially for those using the wire probe (like me). -The software it comes with is kind of janky, unintuitive, and immediately spams you with pop-ups. Bad form, likely symptomatic of a company with confusing messages/goals or leadership. -I did have to remove and readd it to Alexa to allow it to find the detector for routinues-- this could be an alexa problem though. -The siren isnt very loud (if that matters to you, it didnt for me). Neutral: -Some thought went into the software, and what happens if, say, the batteries die. I tested no batteries and it messaged me to tell me there was a leak. Thats.... better than nothing, for sure. The best would be a warning the battery is low, the next best would be a message that says the batteries are dead, the third best is a message that says the sensor has disconnected, the fourth would be what they did. At least there is some kind of flagging for that scenario. -Not being Matter or otherwise independent of their dumb app (no offense, I dont want the app). If this thing just connected immediately to the network we all want to use, it would immediately make this a 4.5 (then fix the door, and youre 5.0 for days).

Installazione semplice e immediata La configurazione è stata molto semplice: dopo averlo posizionato nei pozzi, l’ho collegato all’app SwitchBot in pochi minuti.

Smart, Well Designed & Home Assistant Ready – Spot on from SwitchBot
I couldn’t be more impressed with this leak detector. The cabled version is fantastic value, effectively giving you three sensors in one. The engineering is smartly thought out — the top-mounted sensor sits in a dished recess, which cleverly allows drips to collect and trigger the alarm more quickly. It also has a built-in alarm for immediate local alerts, which is a lifesaver if you’re nearby. Connectivity is excellent: it works flawlessly with the SwitchBot app and cloud services, but it also integrates perfectly with Home Assistant via ESP32. In fact, setup with HA was even faster and more seamless than with the official app. Someone mentioned it didn’t work, personally didn’t have a single issue getting it to work. It was picked up by ESPHome instantly. I was torn between this and the Eufy option, but honestly this has far more bells and whistles, and the Home Assistant functionality is spot on — exactly what I needed for my setup. The build quality, design, and reliability are outstanding. I had the unfortunate experience of a copper pipe bursting (after rubbing against a rusty RSJ), which flooded two rooms in my office. I only wish I’d bought this device sooner — it would have saved me a lot of hassle. If you’re looking for a well-designed, highly reliable, and affordable leak detector, this is absolutely the one to get. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
