Opened box, snapped in G7, and was good to go back to the shop and work with all my tools without having to leave G7 on a shelf. The shell offers little screen protection as that is not the primary design. Have dropped several times from about three feet to hard surface, and no damage so far. Wanted to update that fact for any with concerns. Mainly this keeps the receiver visible and securely fastened on a belt, a pocket, or in my case a wrist band. It does the job quite well, and can easily be rotated to orient the screen as you like. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as a great value for diabetics. UPDATE: Just received my third belt holster, and still the best thing ever offered for G7 receiver. I gave one away to a person ineeding something for her Dexcom. The second one I really had to work hard to destroy, but managed to do so in the end... Was trying to get it fitted to a wrist band for convenient wear 24hrs a day, but especially while sleeping. I had to cut the belt clip off for free access to the back of holster, and finally used a marine epoxy to get it bonded to a band. The process essentially ruined the holster because no glue will permanently bond to this plastic, and there is no way to go back to original clip. Perfectly great product if you don't mess with it. Wish they would do a simple thin belt loop model to use with a wide leather watchband!

Works great, swivels, seems rugged enough for daily use on belt. Still easy enough to pop out the receiver..

This holds the dexcom firmly. It doesn’t fall out. We hang ours by the clip on it and it rides well. You don’t have to remove it to charge the Dexcom.
