Also, before drying my hair, after washing, i used a Turbie Twist hair towel. it's very absorbent and available on Amazon, too. Using the soft-bonnet dryer means your hands are free while your hair is drying. Perfect time to do your nails, etc. It has a 40" hose. i also use a cream mousse to help shape the curls, such as Dove's Quench or OGX coconut conditioner and leave-in cream specifically for "Curls". You can't really use it on the bangs very easily but it works well to encourage curls overall. The best thing about it is that it's nice and lightweight, making it easy to use. I bought it specifically to use with the diffuser attachment and I can report that this does work and seems to encourage, rather than create, waves and curls. Following on this, the unit is pretty compact. On the negative side, the air flow is pretty soft/weak - this may help with curls, but I don't expect it would be very practical with long hair. Also, the compact design means the sucking side of the fan is pretty close to the blowing side - having previously had long hair, I expect this would be dangerously easy to get your long hair sucked in and stuck in the fan.
