Great Problem Solver
I had been experiencing overheating problems with my antique car to the extent that I could only drive for short distances. I had tried other products to clean the cooling system with little satisfaction. The Permatex Heavy Duty Radiator Cleaner was used and an amazing amount of "gunk" was flushed out of the system. I flushed the system several times with clear water and then installed a Gano Filter on the inlet hose (autocoolantfilter.com/). After 150 miles the Gano filter had trapped an unbelievable amount of debris that the cleaner had worked loose. My Model A Ford is now running cool and clean.

Cleaned things up great

Felt like a complete chump. It is just muriatic acid (~20% hydrochloric acid in water)
Thought this was something special. Even paid for 1-day shipping so we could finish up the work. When it arrived, was surprised to read the label and see it is just hydrochloric acid in water, which is also what is called muriatic acid - you can buy muriatic acid at any hardware store for a lot less money than this. The bottle I received was not sealed in a plastic bag or any other special packaging - just a loose plastic bottle rattling around in a box. I'm very grateful it didn't leak and stain/etch/ruin everything around it. FYI - The MSDS says the specific gravity is 1.1 - that would correspond to about 20% hydrochloric acid in water. The MSDS gives the HCL range as 10% to 40%.

worked well on cleaning
It really cleaned my old 66's radiator, but it still over heats. It may be too far gone for cleaning, or I may try another flush. However, it got way mor gunk out than the other brand I used before it

My father is a mechanic and has been using this product for many years now, and every time with out a hitch works beautifully. This product is a must have for a blocked radiator.
