Although the Suzuki Samurai (Vitara) isn't very popular in the UK there are loads still on the roads in Spain. Somehow on the smaller, dusty roads and tracks these hardy little cars look more at home (not to mention the warmer weather means you can leave the top off for 6 months of the year!). I've always used Haynes manuals for car repairs and this one has been a real help. I have basic mechanical skills but lack the confidence to diagnose a problem and fix it on my own. The Haynes manual is a great safety net - providing step by step instructions to undertake any repair or maintenance job. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and the photos show you exactly what you should be doing. Each job is rated according to difficulty level to help you judge what is within your level of competence before you start. I recently replaced the water pump on my Samurai - it was a long job and involved taking off the radiator, fan belt, drive shaft cover, alternator and a few other bits. It was awkward at times and took me nearly a day but the Haynes manual made it possible when I would otherwise have had to take it to a garage. So I repaired my car for the cost of a pump rather than the cost of a pump and 5 hours' labour in a garage - more than justifying the cost of the book. Thankyou Haynes.

too many models covered. Haynes can do MUCH better, used them for the last 36 years.

All the pages are cropped the wrong way which renders the whole book useless. Since I bought it as a repair manual, I need it to be replaced with a good copy or get my money back. The amazon customer support agent promised me that the replacement copy will be alright. Guess what. The second copy they sent me was just as bad as the first one. I need my money back

This is the book to my vehicle so it’s a great resource for when things break down if I need part numbers or a way to get at the parts that might need fixing

I bought this as a birthday present for a friend with an early 90's Suzuki sidekick. Outside of random youtube tutorials, this has been the best resource for hard to pin down random issues that have popped up. A very useful resource, and a great coffee table book if you're looking for more conversation starters about your quirky car.
