A beautiful edition of a classic tale.
This is a great edition of this classic tale. The illustrations are superb. My grandsons find it enchanting. Even before they can read it for them selves they love listening to the story while studying the illustrations. Also I love reading to them. I am sure they will treasure this book for years to come, and hopefully read it with their own children. Well worth paying a little extra for this book.

Excellent.
Beautiful clothbound hardback. Nice sized typeface and good quality paper. Wish I could find a LOTR edition of equal quality.

New, illustrated Hobbit.
There's no need to review The Hobbit as it's very well known. However, this new, illustrated version has beautiful, child centred illustrations. It's a great way to introduce young people to Tolkien's work. I've bought it as a gift for my Gt. Nephew and he is delighted with it. Lovely book.

Full of lovely pictures - fantastic hardcover version (jemima Caitlin hardcover)
The Hobbit - Hardcover (Green) illustrates by Jemima Caitlin. This is a fantastic looking book, littered with colour illustrations on most pages. The pages are thick, white with a faint sheen. The illustrations are not as “mature” as those by Alan Lee, but I find reading the Hobbit easier than LOTR and therefore the younger artwork more suitable. The story itself has been reviewed many times but for me, I tried reading LOTR many years ago when the movies were released and struggled to persevere with them - accordingly I never bothered with the hobbit. As a soon be father I have spent a lot of time looking for illustrated novels and books and whilst I recognise that this is one for later down the line, it looked just what I wanted so bought it lest I forget to in years to come. When it arrived it was such a pleasure to see and hold that I begun to read and have not stopped since. If you are looking for a easy to read adventure with lots of illustrations - something with more depth than a graphic novel but not too thorough for young readers, this is it. I highly recommend this hardcover version and wish there were more illustrated novels like this. 10/10.

Lovely book but marked on the front
Beautiful book with lovely cover and inside illustrations but marked with ink on the front. What a shame, as it was purchased as a Christmas gift
