There can be no doubt that this product does exactly what it says on the 'tin', so to speak. However, there are certain things you need to consider first. The RTFT in the video was place in position on Saturday 21 July 2018; it was taken down on Thursday 26 July 2018 (6 days). The problems we faced were that the RTFT not only attracted the flies in our garden but from all the surrounding gardens too. To be a successful product in our situation where there are many small enclosed gardens, each garden would need to have its own RTFT so as to attract flies from the respective locations. The second thing is that although the Red Top Fly Trap (RTFT) was at least 10 metres away from the house the smell that emanates from the product is unbearable. This product is ideal for locations where there are animals present: stables, pig sties etc or for remote properties with large gardens where it could be placed somewhere that he smell would not affect your home environment. I purchased two of the items but I will not be putting up the second one; in fact, my wife has given it to her friend who keeps animals and chickens. So, the product is excellent for catching flies as you can see from the video but you need to consider the above first.

Have always used this brand . Easy to set up and lasts for months if you top up the water every now and again . We live next to a live stock farmer who does not practice modern methods so if the cattle sheds are not emptied by May we are inundated with flies throughout the summer . We buy a dozen or so of these and hang them from April . They need to be hung as far as you can away from your living quarters . The smell can be horrid but a small price to pay to lessen the amount of flies in your general outside areas . We replace them once they are full and take them down and burn them at the end of the season . Tens of thousands trapped in each unit is not an understatement .

I think I saved the rest of the neighbourhood from being pestered by flies. Will definitely get one for next summer. Does smell revolting but hung well away from the house.

I had some doubts about quite how effective this could be when I ordered it. Those doubts turned out to be completely unfounded and I needn’t have concerned myself whatsoever. Our neighbours have a particularly nice fig tree, close to our back door, that sprouts a lot of fruit, more than we can pick which leads to a troublesome fly situation at certain times of the year. I hung this bad boy flytrap from the side of our shed at the other end of the garden - approximately 50ft away from the fig tree and backing onto some woodland. It was in direct sunlight for most of the day and kicked up a good level of fermentation after day three. Day one, two and morning of three... well, we’d caught a handful of flies, not too many to write home about. Day four onwards - holy moly! This beast seemed to suck in every fly for a 3 mile radius. By day 7 I had to retire it because we’d filled it! We have decimated the local fly population and no longer harassed by them whilst sat outside. It does give off a bit of a whiff, nothing too intrusive but bear that in mind when you’re deciding where to position it remembering that not only will it catch the whole boroughs fly population, you’ll have a good number buzzing around it trying to figure out how to get in.

I was a little sceptical about this product in the first few days. It started attracting flies on the first day during a warm British summers day. A few days later, I had to move it away from eye sight as watching and hearing so many flies dying, was a little off putting! A week later, the flies were coming up to 3 inches deep in dead bodies and I had to get rid of it! Double bagged in the bin! During this time, I dont think it made a huge difference to the smaller flies I appeared to get in the house but definitely attracted bigger flies from elsewhere.

Love red top,I lost a rabbit to fly strikeits the most awful thing to deal with.i was recommended red top never looked backmy rabbit is safe you will be amazed how many fly's it catches always by red top There are some that advertise as red top but aren't,farm shops& Amazon won't go wrong They last well easy to use hardy make up add water leaves overnight ready next morning 🤩

Have used this product more than once. It's effective but does stink though. Keeping it further away from the home to avoid smell would likely defeat the purpose of having it.

I’ve purchased these previously and had mixed results. The first one, three years ago was excellent. The last couple of years there was barely anything caught in them at all, very disappointing. With the weather this year being so fine, this one has worked better than any previous ones. Just remember to keep the water level topped up in hot, dry weather. Waiter, waiter, there’s a fly in my soup!

Va perfecto, no se cuanto durará ,pero es un atrapamoscas fabuloso, nunca vi cosa igual.

Génial ! Je recommande ++++ plus besoin de tapette et si vous avez des animaux du type chevaux et vaches n’hésitez pas pour leur bien être ! Il y a 4 jours que je l’ai installé et au moins 5 cm de mouches !

Compré esta bolsa de plástico para atrapar moscas y ha funcionado de maravilla. Desde que la colgué en el jardín, he notado una gran reducción de moscas, lo que hace que los espacios al aire libre sean mucho más agradables. La bolsa es fácil de instalar y manejar, y no requiere ningún mantenimiento complicado. No ha sido lo efectivo que esperaba. Las moscas siguen acudiendo a mi patio cada día a pesar de tener la trampa más cerca de la casa de lo indicado. Está colgada de un naranjo y va atrapando moscas, las de alrededor supongo . Miraré de ponerlo más cerca a ver si así elimina también las del patio
