ICOM A25C Handheld Airband Radio - Communication Channels Only

Although the radio is EXTREMELY nice, the A25C does not have bluetooth. Only the N does. The descriptions for the 2 are almost universal and this is not pointed out to differentiate them. That said, I even emailed icom to be sure that the C model had bluetooth before I bought it and they told me it did. I powered it up and quickly realized it didnt. I'll be returning it for the nav version but I can honestly say, it's very intuitive and appears to be well made from my limited experience with handling it.

I am pleased with this transceiver because the sensitivity is excellent, better than my old one. The display is nice and the controls are very easy to use. The radio is well built and be charged with the included stand, or a car charger, or a wall wart charger. Good flexibility when traveling.

After 4 charging cycles only (during 1.5 year) the battery capacity degraded to 95%

I ordered these radios to pair with Bluetooth headsets. None of them have Bluetooth as an option even though they are advertised as Bluetooth.

The squelch is way too sensitive, even on the maximum setting. The radio is essentially useless unless I’m standing in the middle of a field.

It is exactly what I needed for my flight instruction.
