Love this framing gun
I was excited to see it had a rafter hook. Haven’t used it yet but bostitch makes quality nailers. Isn’t my first one and won’t be my last. I knew buying this nailed it wasn’t going to be the lightest product but its going to last and be reliable on hot and cold days. I’ll post a follow up review down the road.

Monster!
This thing is HUGE and it seems like a lot more than 8.1 lbs, but it holds 300 nails. Too bulky for a framing gun. Don't even think about this gun unless you're not going to use it in tight spaces or at odd angles. Basically, this Bostitch is a GREAT, tough, powerful gun. It will run EASILY on 90 PSI, and I'm sure it will run on even less. It came quickly, and in perfect condition. Beware, there's no air connection with it. You'll have to buy one to hook it up to your hose. It has female threads. Pros: 1) There's an adjustable rafter hook. 2) Powerful! 3) Tough! 4) 7 Year Warranty 5) Quick Nail Depth Adjuster Cons: 1) The nailing tip is massive (very wide and thick), which puts the muzzle far away from the wood when toenailing. That causes the toenails to not set all the way at steep angles. This gun has more than enough power to set them, but at an angle, just can't get that close. 2) There are two flanges that stick out the sides which you can't see in the pics. They prevent you from nailing at steep angles. Also, the body of the gun is huge, also preventing many angles. 3) The bulk of the gun prevents you from nailing close to other objects. 4) Coil nails are easily damaged during shipping and handling!!!!!

Good quality nailer
This nailer works well, I like the built-in rafter hanger. The only complaint I have with it is that it’s very heavy. Noticeably heavier than my last gun of the same model.

Works as described, simple to set up, no problems so far.
Lots of power, easy to use. I wanted the safer trigger configuration (no bump firing) so I had to replace the trigger with the gray one that was included. Weirdly, the instructions said that the gray one came from the factory and that you need to replace the trigger to get the high-volume configuration. The replacement was easy though.

Great Gun
I purchased this gun as a quick replacement for my Max CN890II which Ive had for about 8 years. At almost half the cost of the Max - I'm very glad I switched. No case, but I'd rather have a nice quality gun than a case. I overnighted the gun so I could get back to finishing my barn the next day after my Max died.. Oiled it up and ran about 9 rolls of various nails through it that afternoon and it fired on queue every time.. Very strong quick and predictable. Highly recommend this one!

Great Framing Nailler
This framing gun is everything I expected it to be. I like the coil nailers better than the stick nailers because they are much easier to work with in tight areas. Not to mentioned the N89C-1 is capable of driving 16d nails which was the advantage of the stick nailers before. Amazon's great price and fast shipping just makes everything that much better. Note: The framing gun comes with two triggers "Smart" (Black Trigger) and "Sequential" (Gray trigger). I left the "Smart" trigger on as that is what I have always used. Some people like to change out the triggers because of the possibility of a double fire if the gun hits the surface twice. If you can control the gun and not let it bounce back after the recoil you shouldn't have any problems with double firing.

Contractor Tough!
Just bought this gun after my old bostitch stick nailer died. I must say this thing is amazing. As a contractor, I love the features it has. It feels well balanced and is easier to fit in smaller spaces than the traditional stick nailer. I like how I can set it down on its face when im working, I just grab it and go. no laying down and picking up. A bonus feature that I did not expect nor does the write up tell you about is that It comes with a factory rafter hook that is well placed. The only thing I can say bad is that it didnt come with a case, not really a big deal but here on the coast rust is a problem so I like to keep tools in their cases. Cant go wrong with this gun.

Size and Weight
Just received this machine with box torn and what seemed like someone wanted to have a peek inside before delivering! Reason for the 3 stars has nothing to do with performance, usually leave reviews between several months and a year after purchasing. So will write another performance review along with any other criteria months or a year down the road..... This review has to do with the misleading information posted for this product the, BOSTITCH Coil Framing Nailer, 15-Degree, 2 - 3-1/2 inches (N89C1) Advertisement states "12 1/4 inches long, 14 inches high; weighs 8.1 pounds"...... Size and Weight: This machine is closer to and was measured and weighed at W-12 7/8 inches x H-14.5 (before nose/adjustable depth guide depression) inches and weighs according to a USPS shipping scale 9 -1/4 pounds before putting in the nails, post installing 2.5 hot dipped galvanized nail roll brings this instrument to 11.250 pounds. This beast, for overhead shooting or all other angles is; and after several hours of work, angling it this way and that, over head and down beneath, as well will be a wearing on your arms! Not saying anything against this machine (there are several similar weighed machines) just bringing out what should have been stated in the first place so that those (unsuspected) persons considering to purchasing it might want to be made aware Having not seen anywhere else, thought it would be good to bring it to the attention of all considering purchasing this beast. At fourteen and a half inches would have to angle this instrument at best to fit into or between studs 16 on center, which in a perfect world might just fit, but in a less perfect world would not since not all carpentry carries that perfection! On a side note from a loved one with lots of muscle and a larger grip, says this is not a nail gun but instead a nail cannon and best be left for the Terminator, Lol!

Works like it should. Has nothing bad to say about it.

Works great but is a heavy tool to be holding for long periods of time.

I haven't used this product yet, but if its anything like the combo kit I bought from BOSTITCH at the same time as this gun, it should be good. Its not high quality but for quick house reno its exactly what I needed without breaking the bank. Just make sure you buy the recommended hose adapter and thread tape as this gun does not come with them.

Received this nailer missing the side wear guards. I contacted Bostitch support and they connected me to a local service centre. The wear guards were shipped out right away and have since been installed. All-in-all, I was satisfied with the overall experience and time to resolution. Regarding the nailer, it is a bit heavy, but powerful. It drives 3 1/2" spiral framing nails with ease. I'm using it for decking and framing and it definitely cuts down on fatigue from hammering nails all day. I switched to the selective trigger (kit included with the nailer) and it was an easy process. As others have mentioned, it's not ideal for toe-nailing as the tip is quite large and the body is bulky. For my purpose, I use a palm nailer for any toe-nailing. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

One of many Bostitch nailers that we use every day. The only nail guns that we will use.
