I used this tankless water heater flushing kit for the first time today, and overall I’m very impressed. It did take a little longer than expected for the pump to fully prime, but once it kicked in, it worked flawlessly. The pump itself is very light, which is nice for handling, but because of that I found it helpful to add a bit of weight to keep it fully submerged—otherwise it tends to float or lean to the side. That said, for the price, this kit does an excellent job. The pump moves plenty of flow once it’s going, the hoses fit well with no leaks, and the whole setup is extremely easy to use. The directions are simple to follow, and I will be using this regularly as part of routine maintenance. Highly recommended for anyone with a tankless system looking for an affordable and effective flushing kit.

Perfect product. Worked great and paid for itself after one use.

Worked great for descaling my Navien tankless water heater. I picked up a couple of small jugs of double-strength (10%) cleaning vinegar from a store nearby, this kit had everything else I needed. I was a bit worried about the pump being too weak as the GPH rating was lower than some other small pumps I've seen commonly used for this, but actually it was perfect, the flow rate seemed pretty decent without being so strong that the hoses would fly around. Actually, when flushing the water heater with water afterwards the water pressure from my house's water supply was so high that it made the hose want to fly around so it was really difficult to hold the hose at my laundry sink's drain (but that's not a problem with this kit, I don't really see any way around that), so it's good that for the descaling portion this pump isn't overly powerful. This kit was significantly more cost effective than buying the individual parts either on Amazon or at local hardware stores, I also had some concerns about the correct hose sizing to connect to both my water heater and most of the available submersible pumps as they seem to often have different sizes, but in this kit everything was the correct size and came with the right adapter.

This kit comes with everything you need to flush your tankless water heater—bucket, pump, hoses, and even a handy lid opener. Installation was simple, and the included pump worked quietly and efficiently. I paired it with a descaling solution (you can also use vinegar) and had the whole process done in under about 90 minutes. Definitely a cost-effective alternative to scheduling a plumber—paid for itself in one use. Would recommend for any homeowner with a tankless system.

Good pump, but make sure to put it on an angle in your bucket with flushing solution, let the air out and solution in while plugged in and hose in the bucket before connecting it to your tankless. You need to prime it with liquid otherwise it won't pump into your tankless.
