Amazon Fire TV 55" 4-Series 4K UHD smart TV, stream live TV without cable, 2024 release

My 15-year-old Sharp TV was starting to give me problems, and the FireStick finally froze on me a couple of days ago so I decided to finally upgrade to a FireTV, and it has been the best decision of the year, so far. I ordered a 50” TV and took advantage of the interest free offer, so for only $12.09 a month after the $33.00 down payment, it was an obvious choice. Installation was super easy, but I took my time to take it out of the box (it’s big and awkward), however, the TV itself is super light. After installing the legs, I set it up on the TV stand and made the necessary connections, which is a no-brainer especially if you use wi-fi. Once I fired it up, it downloaded and installed updates which took about 5 minutes, if that long. After that part was done, I connected to my Amazon account and,l—with the exception of a couple of apps I had to download—setting it up was easy since my iPhone has all my passwords and logging info saved (so glad I always take the time to keep that file up to date). The image quality is AMAZING, especially when I compare it to my old but loyal Sharp TV, which will now be relocated to the guest bedroom. The sound is pretty darn good, too, although I may treat myself to a Fire Soundbar toward the end of the year. I love a rich and clear sound, so that’s an upgrade to keep in mind. For reasons unknown , it took me a minute to locate the on/off switch, even though I was following the setup instructions to a T. Lol 😆 That was the only snag in the process, so I consider myself lucky. And again, having an interest-free monthly payment made this purchase a great investment. Since this TV has FireStick built in, it works right out of the box, so you won’t need the old-style dongle. The remote control is a bit longer than the previous unit with the buttons relocated for ease of use. The designers and engineers really nailed all the small yet important details. Exteremly nice TV for the price even though its a bit more expensivethan others in its class. Great picture quality. Good sound quality. The UI is pretty good. Not laggy or slow. Highly recommend. I bought for one of my spare bedrooms. I prefer it over the vizio brand I normally buy.

I have to say this is my 7th Amazon Fire TV! I keep getting them because well I have a couple of houses and rooms that need some nice tvs and they are super easy to setup, they are light weight (I can mount this tv size by myself) They are reliable, have great color quality, I love the voice control ability with the remote, connecting to the internet is smooth and the TV comes with the option of linking it up with your Amazon account and getting all of my apps on there is a breeze! The colors are true and you can dial it in to fit your preferred viewing from brighter to darker lighting and you create some user profiles as well! Honestly it is a HUGE ALEXA! You can also link your Ring account to get views of your cameras or when motion is detected or someone rings the doorbell you can select the option to allow a picture in picture window to see what is going on so THAT IS A PLUS! Alexa voice control with the remote works really well you will most likely not be sitting there arguing with the remote like you would with other voice control TVs (like when I had my Samsung and LG) This is a MUST BUY!!!!!! I hope one day Amazon puts out a 85-90 inch version so I can change out my LG tv.

Easy to set up. Quick to be delivered. Picture on screen and size of TV is great! The only reason i gave a 4 star is because the sound isn't the best. We have had to turn it on volume 50 to hear it okay. Other than that, a great deal for a great TV!

I am extremely impressed with this tv. Now that I needed a new tv in my bedroom, I started to do my research, which I always do. I always buy samsung smart tvs, but I've been having problems with lagging and notice it didnt have any memory left. I only had a few apps downloaded on it.. I cut the cord several years back, I found that a firetv was perfect. They blow this smart tv thing all up, like its a must have, but let me just say, please do your research. You could save yourself a bucket load of money. If you have cut the cord, there's really no reason for a smart tv. Streaming runs off apps. Smart tvs are limited on memory and can only hold so many apps. I have a samsung smart tv in my living room and to get it to complete a movie without hesitation, I had to hook up a firestick to it. On a firetv you can stream tons and this one I have downloaded several and still have plenty of memory and so many channels and so much to watch. I went to bed early just so I could watch tv in bed instead of the living room. I have really enjoyed the tv. 1 of my favorite things is I can tell it what I want to whatch and it gives me all kind of options. The picture quality is awesome on it. I didnt have to adjust any settings. I was pleased on how everything was set up. The only thing I had to answer was what language I wanted. It did all the updates. I'm impressed with the sound. Of course, any tv is gonna sound 100% better with a sound bar. So, dont let the sound keep you from buying this tv. Also, after lots of research, if you still have cable, you can still hook that up to it. You have several hook up spots. I'm happy with this tv and I'm sure if you purchase one, you will be too. Overall, it is a great tv and a great buy!

I love my tv! The picture is beautiful. I love that it can be controlled by my other Alexa devices. I also love the voice controlled remote.
