Simpler Hair Color for Men - Full Gray Coverage Dye Kit, Light Brown

Provides much more color for longer time than control gx hair shampoo. I also don’t get any rashes or bumps on my heads using this product over control gx. The light brown ended up a bit darker than I expected. Left it in for 30 mins the first time. Didn’t match what I thought would be light brown, but still covered the grays. Only a couple close friends noticed the change, so all in all I’d say that’s a win.

I have never had an easier hair coloring experience in my life. It’s taken me 3 tries to get to the right shade. The first time I got it wrong I placed an order for the next shade on their website and then emailed customer service asking about the best way to figure out how to get it right. They immediately refunded my order and sent me the new shade for free and simply asked me to share the other shade with a friend! Talk about great customer service! Besides the exceptional service the product is phenomenal- no mixing, no mess, no need for gloves- no staining. Just squirt, brush in or touch up, wait 20 minutes and then look fabulous. I’ve never looked or felt better about coloring my hair in years. I had pretty much resolved myself to being grey until I saw an ad for this product and thought- no way- but I would give it a shot. Glad I did. I look 10 years younger, feel better about myself and since there is literally not much time involved to maintain the coloring process I will continue to maintain the younger look! Thanks for the product and giving me back my youth! Now that this is on Amazon it's even easier to order and get delivered in a faster time frame! Love it!!

Although this color treatment has long lasting appeal, It does not tint all the way to the scalp or face line, It leaves a significant amount of white hair next to your scalp or face giving the appearance that its been a few days since you've tinted. Not even touch ups work. That's too bad because the product doesn't sting or burn or stink. Update to review: there is not much product in the canister. I have a short beard and got only one application. I tried to do a second application a few months later after my beard went totally white again. But all that came out of the canister was the white part and no colorant at all. See photo. 49.99 is a lot of money for just one application. Not happy about this product anymore, I dropped my rating from 3 stars to one star.

I have minimal experience with other brands, but I do like this the best. The medium brown another popular dye for hair and beards seemed to leave a hint of an artifical color while this left me with a natural one. It does not have the powerful stench of ammonia which is important when coloring hair directly under the nose. It has the faint odor of a swimming pool that disappears when you wash out the excess. The other stuff I used could never dye the hair on my lower lip right, but this does which is nice. I get the impression that the founder and CEO is very proud of his product which is nice because it implies he cares and won't be quick to cut corners on quality. My only complaint is the cost because I think this could easily be reduced without hurting product quality. The packaging is pretty fancy and it comes with a cloth travel bag, but I don't think this is needed.

I have used a number of men's hair color products. Simpler is just that, much simpler. No gloves, no mixing, no mess. Just press the button and it mixes the contents and them come out at a nice steady rate onto the brush (part of the kit) and apply to your hair. It is very fast, efficient, and really easy to use. And, on top of that, the product is superior to all the other ones I have tried. The color lasts longer, blends really well (and they have plenty of tone choices), and cleanup is super easy. One of the best things is you get 3-4 applications from the one can which actually saved me money as well as the time and cleanup from before. Highly recommend you get the Simpler product !!!

When I came to the product to leave this review, I was surprised at its rating. It's 10x better than JFM. It does take 20-30 minutes vs 5 minutes, but then it lasts until the hairs are cut off. No fading like JFM. I used to have to reapply JFM every 5-7 days to keep a consistent color. Also, JFM would dye my beard entirely too dark or leave too much gray. This product is consistent color. It DOES NOT stain my skin!!! No ointment around the skin line required. My only negative is that the applicator is a bit too stiff if you have a shorter beard. I just kept my last JFM applicator and use both applicators when applying depending on the length of the hair. The can lasts me 4-5 applications. (My beard is trimmed on a fade of guard #3-#9).

Many men don't have the patience or finesse to spend that much time on their hair, so when Simpler popped onto my radar, I was intrigued. It promised to take the mess out of hair dyeing, but it is also touted as a much safer alternative to the traditional dyes. That got my attention because my skin and scalp are pretty sensitive. And I don't have a degree in chemistry. So I gave it a shot. I went one shade lighter than my natural color because darker is a giveaway that I had "something done." I felt good about my decision because you're able to tweak the color in subtle ways by leaving it on for more or less than the official recommended time. Long story short, it works great! Whole process took just 20 - 30 minutes. You mix the brown and white cream by brushing it through your hair, not in a mixing bowl. I got some dye on my skin by mistake and it didn't leave a trace, wiped right off. It did not smell weird and even sort of conditioned it. The color is strong but not so strong that it looks painted on; there is a very subtle variation that makes it look real. No itchiness or irritation. I recommend you use the small part of the brush for eyebrows because there is more precision that way. Check it out.

I feel terrible writing this review because I can feel how much Simply cares about its brand. I kept seeing ads for it and decided to try it over the just for men I was using. I watched the how to apply video that stars the founder of Simply. I have stubborn grays so he said to leave it on for 15 minutes. I left it in while doing laundry so I got back to it about 20-25 mins after application. The results were shocking. Literally nothing was colored. It all washed out. I rewatched the video, doublechecked the instructions for user error but nope, it just didn’t work….at all. I do want to leave one positive piece of feedback, the brush that comes with it is amazing and helps with getting coverage done fast as well. The bottle of product is also cool since the creams are all built into one easy press container. Just for men can learn a lot about Simply in this regard
