Each of the card images in award-winning comic artist Jesse Lonergan's Unveiled Tarot are pictures within pictures—emphasizing the multifaceted archetypes that animate all tarot decks, and providing fascinating and nuanced readings. The 78 cards of the traditional tarot are all about understanding the many-layered aspects of the archetypes that animate life: The Hanged Man, which may appear to depict a figure imprisoned but is in fact a card of often self-imposed contemplation; The Fool, which seems to contain harmless amusement but is in reality the powerful force of complete openness and ignorance—the naivete of a person about to do great good, or great harm. Jesse Lonergan's gorgeously rendered Unveiled Tarot provides a peek behind the curtain on cards readers think they may know, but are always in the process of discovering. The art encourages thoughtful analysis of individual cards and nuanced readings that ground us in the amazing complexity of life, where there are innumerable ways to interpret even the most basic human trait. With humor, heart, and his award-winning style, Jesse Lonergan gives us a deck that is equally well-situated to become a classic in the collections of casual tarot users, art lovers, and experts who wish to deepen their practice.

Awesome Tarot Deck For A Comic Nerd
Beautiful tarot deck! After reading volume 1 of Lord of Mysteries, I felt inspired to finally get my own tarot deck. After a lot of browsing and window shopping, I felt an instant connection to this one (the art style really suits my tastes). As a man of science that enjoys nerd culture, I couldn’t resist a deck that uses modern comic book art.I think this would make a great gift, especially for men who enjoy quirky or whimsical presents. The only drawback I’ve noticed is that the guidebook (which is actually very well-written and beginner-friendly) only provides interpretations for cards in their upright position. Since I often see popular media reference “reversed cards,” I was hoping to experiment with those too, but the guide doesn’t cover them.Still, this has been a very fun experience. I’ve already used the deck with a few friends, and they were just as impressed by the artwork as they were by the readings. As a complete beginner, I’ve been sticking closely to the guidebook, and it’s made learning feel approachable and engaging.

Intuitive and definitely one of my top favorites
The Unveiled Tarot is easily one of my absolute favorite decks. It’s powerful, clear, and emotionally resonant—every single card felt like it was speaking directly to my heart. What amazed me most is how intuitive it is, even for someone still early in their tarot journey. I didn’t need the guidebook, and I wasn’t scrambling to recall keywords; the meanings just landed, instantly and beautifully. It paired seamlessly with my oracle decks, creating spreads that felt rich and grounded. For a while, I was using it every single day because I simply couldn’t put it down. Right now, it’s resting, but it firmly holds a spot in my top five—no small feat given how many decks I own.If you’re looking for a deck that speaks clearly and emotionally, even without formal study, this one is an absolute gem.

Give it a shot! It’ll surprise you.
I’m amazed by this deck. The box and presentation is just WOW. Artstyle itself is very different from our traditional and common decks, being bored of historical and hermetic decks I’ve decided to try something new and modern like the unveiled tarot and am really satisfied. The card stock/paper is OK. Nothing too fascinating or amazing, basic cardboard but it’s an OK quality, card images are borderless so it’s a huge plus for me. Very original and “alive”. It really gives the feeling that the author cared and tried. Booklet is also pretty thick and good quality, feels like a hardcover book but inside it looks and feels as if you were reading a comic book. Overall I really like it. Definitely give it a shot.

A favorite deck!
This I s a MOST unusual deck, and out of my 30 or so decks, in my top 3. No n4ed to memorize reversed meanings, because the reverse meaning is kind of built into the image. Very clever, easy to read intuitively, but still comes with a book.

Accessible but clever and timely deck
This is an instant favourite. it is beautiful but gritty, wise but accessible and also built for storytelling. Each card is cleverly able to give you multiple angles on the meanings of cards. The card stock is ok - just on the edge of thin but still durable and flexible. The little book is also very profound with few words. It tells the story of the times and includes some modern history and culture in the images. Due to that, this is a deck that you can use to read for broader topics outside of the individual and for society in general as well. I recommend this as an addition to any collection of modern tarot decks. The additional cards are also really useful for readings.

Decent quality, amazing artwork, even the booklet is nice
Amazing deck — exactly what I was looking for.As a tarot reader with 10 years of experience, I'm always on the lookout for decks that feel fresh and modern without sacrificing quality. This one delivers on both. The cards are durable and well-made, which is honestly my biggest dealbreaker with new decks — too many companies cut corners there. The artwork is stunning and genuinely fun to work with. The only hiccup was the packaging arriving damaged, though that may just be a foreign shipping issue rather than anything on the seller's end. Everything inside was worth it. Highly recommend.

Breathtaking and insightful.
Wow. Just wow. The images are very moving and actually make the meanings more intuitive to me.I had been wanting to find that one special deck that I really connected with personally, and I had come closest with the Robin Wood deck which I recently saw again on Amazon after getting mine more than 30 years ago. I considered getting another since it was available, but also figured I would maybe see if there was another offering I might connect with. I pored through a lot for an afternoon but nothing really stuck. The next day, though, this popped up as a suggestion and the name was immediately intriguing.A look at the deck and the description made me think this might be the one I was looking for, so I bought it and was not disappointed. Right away they almost took my breath away, from the packaging and the hardcover guide book, but the cards themselves are where its at.This is really something completely different, yet rooted in the traditional. Marvellous execution makes each windowed image feel like a portal to a parallel dimension that is closer to our own. Brings the meanings to life more clearly than any other deck I have seen.

A tarot deck created by a genius. The price is way too low!
I think the concept is that of "tarot cards unveiled," and the artwork truly lives up to the name—it’s amazing!Personally, I especially love the "Devil" 👿 and "Fool🐕" cards. As for the Minor Arcana, I love the "Ten of Swords" 🗡️!Each one perfectly captures the essence of the card and its modern interpretation.Don’t even look at pirated or counterfeit versions—you absolutely must buy the official edition!Even the box design is packed with attention to detail. There’s a Japanese saying: “God is in the details.”This deck embodies that saying with every fiber of its being.I highly recommend it! You should definitely buy it!

Love the idea of ‘unveiled’
Very nicely packaged Tarot deck. Love the idea of combining modern stories with classical symbols. It’s a fresh perspective. I also noticed some criticism saying it includes too much of the artist’s personal perspective compared to traditional illustrations. It will take some time for me to see how it works for me.P.S. There’s a card with a frog-like creature whose belly is cut open. The exposed center of the image shows a woman with a blindfold. Just a friendly reminder for anyone who might feel uncomfortable with this kind of graphic imagery. For me, it’s acceptable.
