The kit seems quality and purpose built. It made working on the fan belt on a 2016 F250 much easier but wasn't more convenient than a normal ratchet on a 2017 Honda Pilot. The castings look well made and have a nice finish but don't feel heavy duty enough to wrench on things other than belt tensioners with.

Another great quality product from Gearwrench! I should have bought this 15 years ago when I first started wrenching on cars. When I first heard of a serpentine belt tool, I laughed at the idea of an extra long ratchet just for serpentine belt tensioners. Then the first time I used it, the ease of use made me realize I was a fool for waiting so long to purchase one. I have also used the ratchet wrench to get in tight areas where I could use the extension as a breaker bar, and it holds strong. I have recommended this to everyone I know who works on cars because it's such an affordable quality of life tool that makes everything easier.

I would've given it 5 stars had the plastic storage case had an actual hinge vs a thin sheet of plastic that is expected to flex every time the case is opened. IN my experience these cases always end up breaking because of this. I also don't like how difficult it is to remove a socket from the wrench. I've literally had to knock the sockets out with another tool. Other than that this is a pretty decent quality kit that makes changing serpentine belts a lot easier than with a regular straight arm type tool.

This is a tool that us reliable, easy to use, good versatility from the sockets to help you deal in any tricky bolt from your belt system. Does not feel like it could snap or anything. Good price for what you get too. This makes my life so much easier and makes me fear less when I have to do belt work knowing i got this bad boy here.

If you're a mechanic, this is a must have tool. We have two at our shop and they take a lot of abuse.

its used frequently and works great. Several companies are selling this kit, the only thing that changes is the name and the color of the handle. But its a great kit all around. I wont name all the brands selling this kit, but just know they are all identical down to the blow molded case. Just find the best deal and buy that one.

Purchased this one to keep in car. It's a shorter design(by 1/2) than that my workshop one.I would have brought this one originally, but because of the lead time for postage from USA,i had to buy other one(from UK) for an urgent repair..Modern poly-vee drive belts rarely break,but i hate the thought of not being able to change a 'Fan-belt' by the roadside.It is a useful addition to the set of car tools as it gives extra leverage on nuts/bolts etc for roadside repairs.The ratchet extension bar design,(which keeps the items storage box length so short,)is a genius idea. Highly recommended.
