Driving Test Success Practical Driving Lessons DVD New Edition

I watched this a lot on the run up to my test (which I passed!). It's a great way to keep driving skills fresh in your mind between lessons. The video can take a short time to start up because of the introduction, but the individual clips are all quite short, The exception is the mock driving test which is 40 minutes long and gives a you a good idea of what you can expect on the day. The video contains: * The cockpit drill and other procedures related to general driving. * Maneuvers of the type that you may be asked to carry out on your test. * Answers to all of the show me / tell me questions that you may be asked on your test. * A mock driving test (albeit with a driving instructor rather than a real examiner). At this price point, this DVD is great for complimenting professional tuition, but I don't think it would be enough to substitute it.

This was very informative information. I felt it was short. It seemed I was watching a tutorial from the 80's and not very modern. Very formal and straight to the point. Just perfect for someone who doesn't want to be overloaded with too muhh information at once and is looking for the simple driving techniques to pass their test.

I failed my hazard protection twice a few years ago & gave up. Got a second wind & gave this DVD a go. I'm glad I did! The test has moved on a bit and has gone full CGI. This actually makes this DVD better! As you're practicing on lower res video, when you take the real test it's a lot crisper. This means that you'll actually score better on the real test, as you can spot the hazards easier! Give this DVD a go, it's basically a hard mode version of the real test, meaning you'll ace the real thing! Good luck with the test!!

Sounds like it was made in the 80s. Unbelievably cringe music. The practice parts worked ok. Got to the exam section and it would freeze on questions 4 or 5 each time. The videos are incredibly grainy. Being the 2016 edition one would of hoped to have had updated videos to actually be able to make out the 'hazardous cyclist' in the distance who actually looks like a pixel until your on top of it and the videos are not smooth and flit between slows abs fast motion . Frustrating to say the least!!

In order to save cost, I started off practising with a family member then moved on to a driving school. I bought this to use with my family member to ensure that we were doing the right things as my accompanying driver learned to drive ages ago. This DVD is really good. The videos are of an instructor explaining to a driving student who then practices the skills. It covers everything from starting to steering, manoeuvres, junctions, roundabouts etc. It's a great tool to support driving practice either with an instructor or family member. Watching the videos felt like additional lessons and I became confident that we were doing the right things. When I finally moved on to an instructor, my instructor kept asking whether I had lessons from another instructor because my driving was really good and just needed tweaks that come with on-the-road experience... :) What really let this video down was the manoeuvres part. It simply wasn't very explanatory and I found it hard to replicate. I did however find free videos online of the Learner Driving System. Their videos give fantastic clues on what to look out for when doing manoeuvres (e.g. when to steer, clues using curb position etc) so I used these and am now a witch at all manoeuvres :) The System also covers everything this DVD covers for free. However, unlike trios amazing DVD, it is a narrated video with an instructor performing actions so feels much less like a lesson.` I'd definitely recommend this as a supplement to lessons and revision tool for the days leading up to your test.

After failing my theory test twice and getting 20/70 in my first test in the Hazard perception part I obviously had an issue when it came to hazards. I invested in this Dvd close to my test and after one day of practising with it I passed perfectly fine, well over the required marks you need. I couldn't have done it without this DVD. MUST BUY

Awful quality!! It looks although it has been filmed by a cheap camcorder. It is nothing like the Hazard Perception test. A waste of money.

This product would be good if you’re driving in the UK but not worth it for US driver’s because of the terms used in the DVD. For example ‘roundabout’ is used for ‘3 point turn’ in the US. Other than that, I would recommend.
