It does work on plastic but I would check with company.

Is this product ok to be in contact with food after cured?

This is really a question for a chemist, but in my experience the resultant epoxy SEEMS to be pretty inert. Even acetone, which can be used with great ventilation to clean up excess epoxy before it has cured, has little effect on cured epoxy. That observation does not apply I suppose if you are employing heat or acids, as with cooking. This product IS one of the more economical ways to employ epoxy in small amounts, much cheaper than using the syringe type dispensers that take the thinking out of measurement. It turns out there is some latitude regarding the precise 50-50 mixture that is preferred.
