Fluoro Orange Heavy Duty Survivor Case for iPhone 5/5s

I've had this case for a little over a year and love it. I have a service dog and one of his 'tasks' is to find and bring me my phone in an emergency. We do weekly drills to keep him sharp and the phone is regularly knocked off kitchen counters and carried around in his mouth. It's hard to imagine anyone being harder on a phone than he is. I had to take my phone out of the case this week and I've gotta say the thing looks brand new. The case itself is showing a little wear but nothing compared to what you would expect from it regularly being dropped from about 3-4 feet and having dog teeth/slobber on it. What actually prompted me to write the review is that my husband has the same case in a different color and it accidentally got dropped out the window of his work truck at about 50mph into multiple lanes of traffic. He obviously panicked and went back for it as soon as he safely could. Amazingly enough the phone was fine. Obviously it had managed to not get run over,(the case is good but I don't think it's that good, lol) but still, flying out a truck window with only a scuff on the corner of the case to show for it? That's pretty amazing. The only con in my opinion is the bulk of the case but I think it's a small price to pay for the ridiculous protection it provides.

One tough case, only draw back is the cover for the camera bit difficult to open quickly as it seals very tight.

I would rate this the most indestructible case made. It really makes the phone bigger, especially with the belt clip, so you have to decide if thats ok for you. I'm addicted to the Iphone SE, it's small enough for my shirt pocket even with the Griffin on it. It's replacing an Otterbox commuter which disintegrated. I had that for for 2 years. The downside is it does not accept fingerprint, unless you have super tiny fingers or you're willing to trim away a good bit of hard case material. This would probably require a dremel. I may be able to snip away enough material to use fingerprint, but I don't use it that much. I have huge hot-dog fingers, so yrmv. Why I bought this is I have the same case for my I-pod touch and it's indestructible. It did not fit my Iphone SE exactly, until I trimmed away a tiny bit at 2 and 4 o'clock, and then it fit perfect. These tiny bits are the from the right side of the outermost silicone gasket covering the snap over screen clips on the right side only. On the left , they cover the volume perfectly but opposite the volume they block the silicone from fitting perfectly on the snap cover. They also block just below that on the right side too. It was easy to trim away these two pieces and then a perfect fit. I would still buy this again knowing this! I still gave it 5 starts. Use a very sharp ex-acto knife blade and make the four easy cuts. The silicone plug for the camera is a little hard to get out if you have big fingers like me, but I appreciate the protection this case offers. I picked this wild orange color so everyone would know its MY phone if lost at work.

Protects iPhone very well and does it in style! I have a fluorescent pink, fluoro fire as Griffin named the color, pool blue (a gorgeous turquoise), fluorescent Orange, black and citron green and a solid black of these cases! The few negatives of these cases are - Seems to disrupt the screen sensor a bit - seems to make it harder for people to hear you - the protective cover for the camera WILL break off after a while, because it is only tethered to the main case by a thin string of silicone

Gim-cracky product! "Dust-resistant" cover for the camera is a plastic flap on a plastic string. You're supposed to "turn" the flap to uncover the camera to take a picture. I challenge you. There is _no way_ to get the flap to stay 'turned' and you constantly get a picture of it instead of your subject. Worse than getting your thumb in your picture. I finally tore the cover off at an event where I had to get the pictures right now, no second chances. I wrote to the seller and he wrote back that he recently tried the case and was going to stop carrying them. He refunded my money without requiring me to return the case. The seal on the screen protector has blisters that let water and dust right in. The screen protector is hard to see through. It's very soft and scratched so much in the first two days that it makes the screen look distorted. The one thing this product is, is BRIGHT BRIGHT ORANGE. Which is exactly what I wanted because I constantly lose my phone. I do not lose it in this case!

Too bulky

The color has already begun to fade, after opening the cover/flap to charge the phone it no longer lays flat. The cover/flap for the back camera as hard to open, no quick photos there...

First seen these in a sports afeild magazine .had the highest rating - and was military spec!!!Has been the very best phone case I’ve ever ownedThe flaps and the button will eventually out but they warrantied everything I’ve bought from them..great deal ! they’re actually cheaper now but might not be the color you like but what a great case!!!

Extremely good case for protection of your iphone, good if not fantastic dust and dirt barrier to all the input areas of the phone as a lot of cases leave the places like speaker ports 'naked' but not on this one. Given 5 stars but only problem is the rear camera cover, it is secured to the phone with a very small piece of rubber 'string' made from the same material as the case. In my opinion this is far too flimsy and after a few moths if you are not very careful it breaks, mine has now. Regardless it still fixes in the same position and doesn't fall out anyway.

Sturdy and great for protection!

Ich hatte mich erst über die leicht abweichende Farbgebung (online ist es fast ein safety orange und real sieht es nicht ganz so gut aus) aber...habe aber soeben das Survivor erneut bestellt... Gedankenverloren lege ich das Griffin Survivor auf meine Autodach...ich kürze kurz ab...das Telefon auf dem Autodach ist mir wieder eingefallen als es beim Auffahren auf die Autobahn nicht mehr auf dem Dach bleiben wollte...es macht mit ein letztes klagendes Geräusch zum Abschied als es vom Dach über Heckscheibe auf die Autobahn flog... Konnte es ein paar Stunden später bei der Polizei in Empfang nehmen...es wurde wegen seiner auffallenden Farbgebung gesehen und "geborgen"...das Griffin Survivor ist hin ...das Iphone hat jedoch keinen Kratzer und funktioniert einwandfrei... Wer also plant, sein IPhone...und sei aus auch nur ca 3 Km auf dem Autodach mitzunehmen...dem sei das Survivor Case wärmstens empfohlen!!!!!
