HP Stream 14" Laptop: Lightweight, stylish and perfect for every day use!
I've been using the HP Stream 14" Laptop since November 2024, and I have to say, it’s a fantastic little device for the price! Right now, I’m actually writing this review on it, and it’s handling everything smoothly. One of the best things about this laptop is how lightweight and compact it is—perfect for carrying around. The battery life is impressive, lasting hours on a single charge, which means I don’t have to stress about finding an outlet during the day. It has a sleek, stylish design that looks great, and despite its budget-friendly price, it doesn’t feel cheap. Performance-wise, it zips along pretty quickly for everyday tasks like web browsing, streaming movies, and working on documents. While it’s not the fastest laptop out there, it works a treat for programs and apps that don’t demand too much memory. Overall, if you’re looking for a budget-friendly laptop that’s portable, reliable, and stylish, the HP Stream 14" is a solid choice. Pretty good value for money!

Not disappointed, its a great little machine for basic everyday stuff.
After reading the reviews I was a bit sceptical about buying this laptop. However, for the price and what I want it for (programming fire alarms and basic report writing) it was a risk worth taking. I am not at all disappointed! Its a great little machine. Lightweight, good screen and its fairly nippy with regards performance. Yeah its not for gaming or HD video streaming on multiple windows but if you are realistic with your expectations for a £150 laptop you wont be disappointed. My only recommendation would be to go for the 128GB version as the 64GB soon fills up. However, there is a full size SD card slot and I have added a cheap 128GB card for storage and it works great. Laptop has bluetooth too which is a good feature if you want to add a mouse etc. although the touch pad is fine. Its lightweight and has that HP build feel so its sturdy and has a nice textured finish. I travel the country and wanted a small, lightweight model to fit in a small bag and it ticks the box. Windows 11 seems to run fine with minimal lag. I have turned off the "s" mode as I don't want to be locked to using just Microsoft apps. It has two full sized USB ports and a C type too. There's an HDMI connector too which I use with my projector and that works great. All in all, great little laptop for basic stuff.

Budget-friendly portable laptop, great build, its a great choice. Its fabulous value for money.
This laptop is how lightweight and compact it is—perfect for carrying around. The battery life is impressive, lasting several hours on a single charge. It has a sleek, stylish design that looks great, and despite its budget-friendly price, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. Performance-wise, it functions and processes pretty quickly for everyday tasks like web browsing, streaming movies, and working on documents. Like all laptops you do have to spend a little time on setting it all up to go but this was a very easy process as everything was led by the computers prompt. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly laptop that’s portable, reliable, and stylish, the HP Stream 14" is a solid choice. I think its fabulous value for money.

Great laptop for the price.
Great budget laptop. I see a lot of negative reviews for this, but I think that's because people are expecting a lot more bang for they're buck. At this price you cannot expect a lot! I bought this for doing online courses and it works perfectly for that, with the free 365 use for a year is brilliant. Yes sometimes you have to wait a few seconds for some things to open but it's not unexpected at this price. It plays angry birds very well if u need some distraction. My only disappointment is the web cam quality, from the inbuilt camera it's very poor but streaming from my phone is brilliant so it's not terminal. Screen is also good and clear enough for me Touchpad is sensitive with good spacing between the keys Set up was easy with not too many updates, but to make sure u are completely up to date u need to go into settings and manually update a few bits but it's very easy. It's very thin and light and boots up and shuts down quickly. All in all I like it, does light tasks easily and the battery lasts a good few hours too. Don't expect too much for the price and u won't go wrong.

Do not buy. Lag fest!
I intentionally bought this laptop at a low price knowing it would be bad. I only needed it to watch YouTube videos and Netflix, so really I was ok with getting something cheap and tacky. Wow, I was not expecting just how cheap and tacky this laptop would be. It lags just playing YouTube videos. The HDMI port is dodgy and does not connect to an external monitor without serious effort jiggling the cable around. It crashes constantly and lags just opening basic Internet browsers. Do not purchase, even if you're just looking for something cheap. Cheap laptops are a thing of the past, this item is a borderline scam.

Laptop and a years office 365
For the price you can't really do better. It took awhile to initially download all the updates. Afterwards it's not bad, it runs smooth enough for office apps. Having the 12 months office 365 subscription was the seller for me especially considering subscription price increases. So taking that into account and the laptop price it seemed like a good deal. I was on a budget. For me it's mainly for office 365 apps and basic browsing, just something I can take on the go to do basic stuff. It's extra light so ideal if your transporting it around. Update 05/06/25 *** Unfortunately after about a week of use starting getting errors. Windows store would not download or update apps, laptop went very slow. Tried troubleshooting. HP support suggested doing an F11 recovery so I tried that but kept failing, they then suggested downloading Windows 11 to a USB and doing a full factory restore, I did this all seemed well but unable to complete windows setup just freezes on a blank screen after updates. Several attempts and finally gave up. Maybe hardware failure with the storage. Hope I can return.
