Good features but very short lifespan. My unit worked for only 10–15 minutes before constantly asking to be charged. Restarting it helped briefly, but it never ran close to the 40 minutes stated in the description. I may have received a faulty item, which is a shame because I really liked it and thought it offered good value.

This RC robot can perform a variety of commands (forwards, backward, turns) through voice, gesture, and remote control. It all works well, including the voice recognition, which surprises me since it comes from a non-English-speaking country. The robot works best on hard surfaces but did okay on my low-pile carpet. My nine-year-old will likely enjoy the programming function the most. It allows you to enter a sequence of commands on the remote and then watch the robot execute them. The song, poetry, joke, and story functions will not interest older kids, but younger ones might like them. The robot's arms and legs articulate, which adds a lot more interest than one that just rolls around. The build quality is okay, but it is a decent value for the price. It is not, however, a premium toy. The buttons on the remote are somewhat confusing, and it is difficult to tell which way the robot will move. I have no complaints aside from that.

This programmable robot is cool. it has lots of buttons on the remote to get it to do things. proramming is done by recording button presses and then the robo performing the actions. Other things it can do is interact with ya child by telling stories and jokes, etc. It can be controlled by the remote or voice or gestures. It'll dance when you want it to. ITs a fun robot that'll provide lots of entertainment for little ones.

I will know more about this little robot after giving it to a grandchild this coming Christmas (2014). My impression upon taking it out of the box, starting it up and trying to issue verbal commands is that it may be fun, it may be a challenge, I don't know which. It does a number of cute things but I had trouble issuing it commands. However I was in a noisy room at the time. I was startled to see the paragraph in the instruction manual I've included with this review. I don't think Mandarin is required to use the robot. The commands are listed in English. Still, I find myself somewhat confused and I intend to update this review after the toy is given and used by a child in early January of 2025.

The quality of this robot is really good. The plastic is good quality and has a premium feel to it. It has a built in battery and is recharged via usb-c. The controller takes 2 AA batteries which you need to supply. Using the controller works great. You can make him do all sorts of moves etc. My interest was the voice and hand control. This is already turned on once you turn the robot on. No need to put into a special mode. The hand gestures are ok but the voice commands work pretty well to my surprise. You can see what I mean in the video I uploaded. For the price it’s not bad at all and great for young kids. I definitely recommend this robot toy.

This robot toy looks so cool in person. It's big and has a great aesthetic overall. Unfortunately the directions are really difficult to understand. It doesn't do most of the things it's supposed to do. It could be because the directions are unclear but we just could not get this thing to do any other gestures except for 3 things. The sound quality is good. Battery is fine, although it's not been played with very much. Overall, not worth it. Maybe for someone who REALLY loves robots and has the attention span to sit and figure it out but otherwise, keep shopping.

I gifted this VEVOR Robot to my son in his 7th birthday and he's absolutely obsessed! He loves the gesture sensing, programming, and voice control features. The robot's singing and dancing abilities have him giggling nonstop. What sets this apart from other robots he's had is how interactive it is, it's like having a fun companion! The remote control works perfectly and intuitive. It's a great way to encourage STEM learning and creativity while having fun! Highly recommend as a birthday gift for kids in elementary age.
