However, my trick is to use a tennis ball inside shoes/boots that are tight on the instep, which I find helps to stretch them slowly and evenly. After a few weeks of short periods of wear and using the tennis balls, they are now very comfortable. I debated buying these boots for a long time but I am so glad I did.
