Review of Javvy Protein Coffee – French Vanilla Instant Iced Coffee I'm about halfway through my first bag as I write this review. As someone who has been a fan of Javvy concentrate to make my morning iced coffee—while usually having a separate protein drink to round off my low-carb “breakfast”—I figured I’d give this a shot to see if I could combine the two. I had two typical caffeine/breakfast preferences in the morning: 1. A Trenta (30 oz.) Starbucks cold brew with heavy cream and no artificial sweetener (about 10 carbs for the drink), which is smooth and not bitter. I don’t like Starbucks iced coffee, but their cold brew is generally good. The cost is a little shy of $6 out the door. 2. I would drink a 30 g low-carb protein drink separately (about $2 each when bought in bulk), bringing the total to about $8/day, which would last me until lunch. Drinking the 30 g protein drink while making a separate iced coffee drink (sometimes using the protein drink as a milk/cream substitute since protein drinks are typically thick) using Javvy coffee concentrate—for a total of about $4.50/day. Since my usual morning coffee is a 24 oz. to 30 oz. drink, I've used two loose scoops of the Javvy protein coffee in the drink. This yields about 130 calories, roughly 20 g of protein, and 8 g of carbs (6 net carbs) for that two-scoop serving before adding any milk or cream. The package says you can use water instead of milk, but no thanks (okay, maybe I’ll try it in the future...maybe). I use unsweetened coconut milk and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, and before adding any sweeteners, it’s already pretty tasty. Taste: Smooth like cold brew or good iced coffee, with a nice coffee flavor. It could be due to the coconut milk, but I don’t get much of a “French vanilla flavor,” or perhaps it blends nicely with the coconut milk. If stirring initially with a spoon, you may find some clumps caked on the spoon. Licking that off isn’t particularly tasty but tolerable. Not doing so would likely result in negligible waste of protein powder. Texture: So far, I’ve blended this with a frother twice, shaken it twice, and stirred it vigorously with a spoon four times. In all cases, there have only been very small clumps remaining, which seem to dissipate before I drink them, or are too small to notice. Overall, it blends and dissolves very well, so you aren’t left with bitter chunks while enjoying your coffee. Caffeine: The bag says it has about 80 mg of natural caffeine per serving, so my 24 oz. to 30 oz. drink only contains about 160 mg in total, compared with a typical 8 oz. cup of coffee at 160 mg to 200 mg, or my Starbucks 30 oz. cold brew with about 360 mg since it’s not entirely coffee. I’ve never been perceptive to caffeine’s effects, so this doesn’t concern me, and it’s probably a healthier dose of caffeine than the overkill I usually consume. Cost: Since I’m about eight beverages into this bag, I estimate I may get about 12 two-scoop servings per bag for about $30 unless you can get a better deal or buy in bulk. While it provides approximately 20 g of protein instead of the usual 30 g from a separate protein drink, it may end up being a suitable replacement. Instead of $2 for my protein drink and $2.50 (or $6 at Starbucks) for coffee, I could just go with the $2.50 for a Javvy iced protein coffee drink. Overall: Initially, I was resistant to investing in the protein coffee (“$30 for a bag of coffee! That’s crazy!” I said to my husband). However, after trying it and doing the math, it actually makes a lot more sense for my frugality. Highly recommend!

Delicious and worth it!
Javvy protein coffee has helped me kick my expensive, boujee drive-thru coffee habit. Not only am I getting my daily cup of Joe, I am also starting my day off with some protein which is a huge improvement for someone who regularly would skip breakfast. It can be a little bitter but I found that I like it with a little fat free creamer added to it. I like it better than the boujee stuff now. Happy Javvy customer for over a year!

Great for added protein and a caffeine pick me up!
I'm writing this review after using the protein coffee a couple different times! I've separated the review out between different categories: 1. Packaging - Solid packaging: it was shipped in an envelope style and didn't get any holes or break open through shipping - Bright, creative design that caught my eye as soon as I opened the package. It points out the important parts in bold lettering of 10g protein, zero sugar, & prebiotics - Important: The caffeine content is easy to find which some brands don't include. This is a big plus. 2. Taste - I'm very picky when it comes to my protein powders. I've tried many including some caffeinated ones from other brands. I tried just a scoop in water to get a feel of what the taste was like. It was decent, very coffee forward with just a hint of French Vanilla. This is better than other protein coffee packages since most have an overpowering sweet taste to them that leaves an aftertaste. - I've also tried this with 8 oz of Coconut milk & a cup of Ice and it made a very delicious iced coffee. 3. Overall Experience - This protein powder mixed extremely well without needing a shaker bottle. I just used a small glass bottle, and there weren't any clumps - I measured the grams of the scoop, since some protein powders will make the scoop too large so you use more product. This measured in at 17 grams when the approx is 18 grams. A great scoop that doesn't overuse product! - I let the coffee protein sit for a while, and there wasn't a lot of settling that you'll see when some protein powders don't mix well. - I definitely did notice the caffeine boost. I'm one that drinks energy drinks, and this did help as a pick-me-up without needing a full energy drink. - Overall, the experience was great! Considering that the product mixes well without needing blender bottles, and tastes like coffee with just water, it is a quick, convenient snack but a great base for iced coffee combinations using syrup, etc.

Surprisingly good!
(From the person this was purchased for) If you think keeping kids, adults, and overenthusiastic retirees entertained at an RV resort is easy, I have a face-painting station and a half-inflated bounce house that would like a word. Enter Javvy French Vanilla Protein Coffee—the only reason I have the energy to go from morning yoga to tie-dye T-shirts to hosting a trivia night all in the same day. First sip? Oh, this is actually good. Not “I’m just drinking this for the protein” tolerable, but delicious. Smooth, real coffee taste, and no weird chalky protein nonsense. Then the caffeine hit. Suddenly, I’m setting up a craft station while explaining pickleball rules to a group of competitive dads, all while dodging a sugar-high child with a water balloon. I’ve got 15g of protein keeping me going, which is great, because I definitely forgot to eat between leading poolside bingo and refereeing a heated game of giant Jenga. Final verdict? If your job requires you to be everywhere at once while still looking like you have it all together, Javvy Protein Coffee is your new best friend. Just be warned—one can and you might accidentally sign yourself up to host karaoke night.

Love Love Love Javy Protein Powder!
I absolutely love the Javy protein coffee. There’s just enough caffeine just enough protein to help start my day. I’m not a big breakfast eater. This fills me up and keeps me satisfied until lunchtime and above all else it tastes absolutely magnificent. I like to use it and add sugar-free syrup and sugar-free cold foam and it’s better than The Big coffee place with the Star and a $ sign in its name.

Bring back the variety pack!
Not my favorite flavor but my boyfriend loves it. Caramel is my favorite! Giving it a 3 star because they had a really nice variety pack but don't anymore. It's expensive stuff so I'd recommend teal ones to taste them before buying the big bag. I also don't recommend adding this to coffee but instead adding it to milk. Tastes way better and using a frothrr mixes it way better.

Tasty but pricey
Upon receiving my package, I opened my French Vanilla Javvy protein coffee and immediately noticed the delightful aroma. I couldn’t wait to taste it! For my first cup, I mixed one scoop and one cup of cold water- sampled prior to adding anything else and found it to be very bitter, it absolutely needed some creamer and/or sweetener. I added some sweet cream creamer to it and topped it off with ice- perfection! I could drink this every day except I can’t afford to. While it only comes out to a low price per serving, it’s just not sustainable for multiple coffee drinkers in my house, and for only containing 10g of protein per serving. Being I have a protein goal to meet, I was hopeful this would help add to my intake. The packaging isn’t bad but I feel like it could definitely use a better seal (maybe one of those slide lock seals). I have since had a cup every morning this week (and sometimes as an afternoon pick me up), adjusting the creamer and trying it with sugar free syrups and I definitely recommend this based on flavor. I even like it better than the javvy concentrate. I received my product overnight- it was on the step before I even got my day started!

Tastes great!
Doesn’t have the chalky protein taste. It mixes really well and tastes great. If you prefer sweeter drinks then you’d have to add your own sweetner

This protein coffee is good; not chalky and mixes well! Tasty and is delicious over ice, my coffee is between this and the mocha one.
