If I want to connect this with my split unit a/c and program it to go on at dif times on dif days of the week will this work?

What is the output on this device? is it 240V? what does 24v mean that is shawn on the back side

DPDT to control motor?

This is a single dry contact. You would need a Dpdt relay in conjunction with this. Wire the dry contact in series with the dpdt relay coil.
