Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertised and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

A great tool at a reasonable price.
It works fine if used correctly. To make a steady score line use a strip of friction tape under a long ruler or aluminum extrusion and press on it while scoring repeatedly the acrylic plate. I do it 4 times to be sure. Then bring the scored line over the edge of the table and press on the ruler as well as the hanging portion. If you don't want to damage the falling half of the acrylic, ask someone to hold it while bending. The result will be a very neat cut.

This is the tool you need to cut plastic don't use a glass cutter
With a straight edge and this tool you can cut through that acrylic plastic piece whether you're doing a window or making a project this tool is definitely one that you need to cut through plastic a glass cutting knife is not the right tool and will not work and a utility knife will slip and you may be injured better off to buy this tool and be safe I use it with a straight edge and it hasn't failed so I highly recommend this tool

Solid acrylic cutter
I needed to cut some acrylic panels to a custom size and purchased this to help with that. Easy and comfortable to use. Simple to get a score going. I used it to score some 1/8” thick acrylic panels and did about thirty passes and was easily able to snap the piece with a nice and smooth cut. I’ve used it only on four long cuts but blade is still sharp. Seems well built which should last for a lot more cuts before I see it getting dull.

Does work but not so easy
Used this to cut 1/8" acrylic sheets. It did score it enough to snap off pieces but it took a while. Instead of trying to break the whole piece at once on edge of workbench I used plyers and worked my way down the score. Made sanding the edges much easier.

Good
Not a regular use tool for me, but seems to work well.

Excellent cutting tool
I used this tool to cut a couple sheets of 3/16 plexiglass and it worked great. Initially I tried using a utility knife. After about an hour, I gave up and ordered the Hyde. The utility knife had a new blade but just could not cut through the thick plexiglass. The Hyde cutting tool is well built and sturdy for its size. I wore thick leather gloves when scoring the cut because there's no padding on the tool and of course it's a pretty sharp blade.

Did not want to spend a tenner on top of the poly sheets but glad I did. Brilliant little cutter.

Worked well to cut my 3-4mm cast acrylic sheets. Fairly good quality and nice grippy handle. Cheap and cheerful.

I don’t think of myself as very practical but this tool was easy to use. Cleanly cut the Perspex for my shed windows an I felt quite proud of myself. Value for money -yes.

Used on 2mm Acrylic. Yes, it does need half a dozen scores before snapping, but it works well and shows no loss of sharpness after a dozen or so uses.
