Exceeds Expectations
This is a switcher locomotive meant for yard work; spotting rolling stock at individual industries,; and light passenger and light freight service. It has nice detailing, an appropriate weight for the design purpose, and ran perfectly out of the box. 1:87 dimensions match original prototype. Excellent sound features and extended CVs control advanced functions like "switching" mode; combining automatic sounds; etc.; and very good low speed control with my Digitrax DCC system. running 2 consists on my 5x9 level layout with a main line, branch line, siding, a 3 spur yard ladder, and 1 industry spur, this loco performs well. On the branch line service, it pulls a consist of 4 to 5 cars depending on the type (eg. all coach; all freight; or some combination.
