Don't waste your time
This item was just a waste of time. The QR codes link to non-English resources so you can't use that to install. Then when inserting the disc it has instructions that are not very clear and even when you figure out how to follow them the app isn't installed.

JAPOO WiFi Wireless USB WiFi - works!
I have a room on the second floor of my home where the Wi-Fi signal is weaker. When using the wireless laptop the signal gets dropped. I want to use this room for my office and ordered the JAPOO Wi-Fi USB in place of running an 80-foot ethernet cord down the stairs to the main modem/router. So far this JAPOO USB Wi-Fi device is working and I haven't had any interruptions. So far it is working and holding the signal steady. It feels well-made and is easy to install into a USB port on your computer. The antenna needs to be connected. I will update my review if anything changes.

Functional, but feels cheap.
If you're purely concerned with function, this wireless USB adapter makes the cut. It features an antenna that you need to connect that gives you additional gain where needed (it can work without the antenna as well if you don't need it and want a smaller form factor). It's large even without the antenna connected, and that's where the cheap feel of it is a problem. With how much it sticks out, it will undoubtedly take a hit once in a while. The plastic casing feels like it will snap apart from a gentle breeze, so this makes the size a bit worrisome. I'll be extra careful when connecting this in a higher traffic area, and mostly try to connect to the back of a desktop or other device to give it some protection. My primary use is network troubleshooting, as I work in IT engineering and oftentimes need to rule certain hardware out before looking at the network itself. Overall, it's functional for the price, but I wish it felt sturdier.

Do not support Network Monitor mode! Fine WiFi adaptor otherwise.
Note! They DO NOT, support Network Monitor Mode.
