Good for rehab, people with weak muscles, or those who want to get in some motion
I'm a 67 year old woman in fair shape, and I've been curious for years about motorized pedalers and mini-ellipticals, so when I saw the electric Yagud Under Desk Elliptical, I decided to give it a shot.First off, this is a fairly compact unit, and it doesn't have a stride like larger ellipticals - it's more like an under desk mini bike. It comes with a remote (requires 2 AA batteries, not included), a paper manual (but I didn't need it), and no weird smells. It was well-packed in sturdy foam molded to fit it so it wouldn't be damaged in shipping. While it's pretty light, someone who can't lift much may need help moving it around. The good news is it's very quiet, although not totally silent. It might bother someone sensitive who's trying to sleep in the same room while you use it, but it didn't bother my husband sleeping in the next room - he didn't hear it.I plug it in, it wakes up, and then you can use the remote to change speed, mode, change to backwards or forwards or turn the power on or off. I found the perfect angle to use it at, so it didn't bother any of my joints, and that's the distance that keeps my legs at the perfect angle from my desk chair. I don't use it under my desk.So here's the deal. I'm not in great shape, but using it with the speed all the way up at level 12 didn't raise my heart rate much, although it did warm me up - my resting HR is 64, and I could get my heart up to around 80 but couldn't get it up to 100BPM until I turned down the speed and pushed faster than the motor would go so there was some resistance. I like using it that way, but I'm not sure whether or not it might harm the motor. So far, so good. But if you're recovering from an illness, leg injury or surgery or have had a stroke and need exercise, I bet this would be terrific. The motor is steady and consistent, there are 12 speeds, and the lowest is pretty slow, which is good if you're in some kind of recovery or need to build up after an illness. I believe it would be perfect for this situation. Two thoughts. I'm not sure it's quiet enough to use around co-workers in an open office situation - I think it will depend on your coworkers. And this will be great for those (like me) who spend many hours working at their desk and want to keep their legs moving, but not all desks are the same height, so measure your desk and add the height of your legs to make sure it will fit. I did try it, and it does fit under my desk easily, but I'm only 5'4" with a 29 inch inseam.I feel this Yagud Under Desk Elliptical lived up to my expectations and satisfied my curiosity. While I have an exercise bike and a treadmill, for days when I just want to sit on my chair, i'll continue to use it manually. And the smaller size makes it perfect for small apartments, hotel rooms and restricted-space office situations.

Keeps my feet moving!
This is an interesting little device. I got this for days when I can get down stairs to workout on my treadmill or elliptical as work has me chained to my desk. I feel that getting even a little movement is better than nothing and that's what this device gives me. I can keep my feet moving while working on my computer. The machine is easy to move as it has a convenient built in handle yet heavy enough to stay in one place while I am using it. The remote control is nice as I can adjust the settings without touching the machine. It really is as easy as plug and play. I took it out of the box and plugged the power cord in and it was ready to go! It has various speeds and modes that you can use and that the instruction manual explains fairly clearly although it is a bit more complex than needed if you ask me. You can't use this more than 30 minutes in a row as that is the maximum time allowed per workout but it is easy enough to start off again. Also you may use this when it is turned off as it is called the passive practice mode which is nice when you don't have any time constraints to worry about. The one thing that I thought this had that it doesn't or I cant figure out is that it does not give any resistance. There are only preprogrammed levels of speed you can modify. It would be great if there were a resistance option in this device as I find the only time I get resistance is when I use the device while it is turned off. Also I did not received resistance bands as stated on the webpage.5 Stars = Excellent brand and product, great deal!4 Stars = Really good product with a minor fault or two.3 Stars = Average just like the number. Good not great.2 Stars = May be OK, but there are glowing issues with it.1 Star = Avoid at all costs!

Make sure you have room under your desk
Let's get the one con out of the way: this won't work for lower desks. You need to make sure you have room under your desk (no supporting cross beams or anything like that). Besides that, this is a pretty great little device. You can use it manually without even plugging it in, or you can plug it in and turn it on and choose from 12 different speeds. It has a remote, but you can also control it directly on the device. It defaults to a 15 minute timer, but you can change that as well. I wasn't expecting to feel it much when I powered it on, but after just a few minutes, I could really start to feel it in my calves without having to do much on my end, so I was getting a workout without putting in much effort. You will definitely get more of a workout if you do it manually, but it's nice to know that you still get somewhat of a workout when powered on. It's a pretty decent size, too, so don't expect something that you would want to lug to and from the office. This is one of those things you will probably want to keep in one place. Overall, I'm pleased with it. It's pretty nice.

Bigger and Louder than Expected
This is an alright product, and I would recommend it if it was cheaper. It's a lot bigger than I expected and cannot be used under my desk comfortably. I'm either too far away from the desk, or my knees hit the bottom of the desk when it is up. It is also far from silent despite the advertisements. It does work well when in use. There are multiple speed settings and the ability to change direction. It can also be set to stay on for a specific length of time. I wasn't able to test the remote controls out because batteries are not included and I don't have any AAAs, but the idea is at least neat.My biggest issues are the size as previously mentioned and the noise. Not only is the motor a lot louder than I expected given the quiet advertisement, but the beeping when you change the settings is super irritating. If the beeping wasn't a thing, I might be able to overlook the motor noise and maybe even the size.
