Outstanding dash cam
I currently own a Garmin 57 dash cam and have been very happy with it and it goes between my personal and work vehicles. When Garmin released a 4K camera, I jumped at it. Now I have the 57 installed permanently in the work vehicle and the X310 in my personal vehicle. Garmin has the best phone app out there and it works flawlessly between the cameras. The X310 works just like the 57-menu system and supposedly it has even sharper video, although the video looks pretty much the same as the 57. I attribute this to the fact that I don't have a 4k monitor to view it on, just a regular 1080p monitor, so I'm not seeing any sharpness upgrade on my monitor. Aside from this the video is still great, colors, sharpness and all. I do like the added touchscreen making it much easier to navigate the menu, not that the button system of the 57 was hard. The x310 is a smaller footprint in thickness than the 57, the width and height, close to the same. I will admit it is a bit spendy, but it's totally worth it for the quality, the Garmin name behind it, and phone app. It's super small and fits right behind my rearview mirror so it's never a distraction. The voice commands are great, and they always work flawlessly. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. Nov 17, 2024 update. I recently caught an accident of a guy racing up beside me and then smashing head first into a car that was in the center turn lane. I wished I had a rear camera to see when the guy pulled out and raced up the center lane. So, I bought the Garmin Mini 3 to put in my back window. Was super simple, plugged adapter into to back 12v cigarette lighter port right by the back hatch, ran wire just up the side door seal and spiraled the wire(you wrap it around a dowel, heat the wire with a heat gun/hairdryer, let cool, take off and turn the wire wrap the opposite direction...you now a coiled wire) to allow the hatch to open an close without having wire hanging. Stuck to corner of back window, and connected to the Garmin app. Now they both work in unison and connect flawlessly every time via Wi-Fi. A caveat, if you ever need to download a video, you can do it with the Wi-Fi, it can be done, but it's a bit slow and cumbersome, ideally, taking out the card and putting in a computer is much better. If you have a mini usb phone, like the iPhone 14 or newer you can plug your phone right into the usb on the new Garmins and it’s super-fast, just like a computer. Now I have front and back videos. I'm very happy with the 4K video out the front and the 1080p out the back. Both videos are clear and sharp, very happy with the Garmin Mini 3.

Reliable, Easy to Use, and Works Exactly as Expected
The Garmin Dash Cam X310 works exactly the way I expected it to. Setup was straightforward, the camera has been reliable, and it consistently records without giving me problems. I mainly wanted a dash cam that I could depend on without constantly having to mess with settings or troubleshoot issues, and this one has delivered. The video quality is good, the controls are easy to use, and overall it feels like a solid, dependable product. Very satisfied with it so far and I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a reliable dash cam.

Died After 8 Months - Complete Failure, Won't Turn On
This dashcam worked perfectly fine for eight months, then suddenly died today without any warning signs. today it simply refused to turn on, and nothing I tried could revive it. I went through all the standard troubleshooting steps - swapped out the SD card for a new one, tried different power cables, tested various power sources, and even attempted different mounting positions. Nothing worked. The device shows absolutely no signs of life, no LED indicators, no startup sounds, nothing. For a product designed to operate continuously in vehicles, eight months seems like an unreasonably short lifespan. The sudden, complete failure suggests there are serious reliability issues with the internal components. What's particularly frustrating is that there were no gradual performance issues or warning signs that might have indicated impending failure. It just stopped working entirely out of the blue. Given that dashcams are supposed to be dependable safety devices that you can count on when you need them most, this kind of unpredictable failure is completely unacceptable. I can't recommend this model to anyone looking for a reliable long-term solution.

It Works Fine and Is What I Needed
It does what I want and interfaces with my iPhone Garmin App well. My only concern is how hot it gets; at times too hot to touch. I will also need to take it to the dealership to run the power line so that it is out of the way. I am just too old to go crawling around the car like that anymore. I did have to get another Garmin subscription to save videos to their site, but I I got it for those JUST IN CASE situations to begin with so I just consider that part of the deal.

Garmin is good but fails to be GREAT🌎
Really a little overpriced, but Garmin is quality. Wouldn't do this again unless there were REAL improvements and/or enhancements that truly GIVES the buyer more for their money. Or maybe a solid trade-in discount program that recycles older tech and GIVES the customer better prices while saving our planet????

The Garmin X310 is one of the best single-lens dash Cams out there in my humble opinion!
I recently upgraded to the Garmin Dash Cam X310 after using another brand for about a year. The standout features is the crisp 4K Ultra HD recording. The 140-degree field of view is wide enough to capture multiple lanes and key details like license plates without excessive distortion. I really like how easy it is to use, voice control for hands free commands like "save video" or "take a picture." I've had a Garmin before and was never disappointed. I should have stuck with it instead of trying another brand I never heard of. There are other things I like to, but I don't want to write a book.

Unreliable
I like that it's compact, feels high quality to the touch, and can operate without sharing your data with third parties. The video quality is decent - when it works... But the most important quality of a Dash cam is that its reliable. Just in 1 week with this I've had video files corrupted, where the picture freezes at a random point and you can only hear audio. (Tested on both PC and Mac, and I've also ruled out the SD card as a cause). The GPS coordinates randomly come and go, and the speed stamped at the bottom sometimes reads 240mph or higher! I evidently can't rely on this dash cam to produce credible evidence if I ever need it. I never had these problems with my older Garmin 57. The audio quality also sounds worse than the old 57. Added to this, Garmin saves MP4 files in a non-standard format, and they can't be imported into certain video editors like DaVinci Resolve without losing the audio track. You have to preprocess every video file with a different app first, which is unnecessarily technical and time-consuming. Standards exist for a reason. I'm normally willing to pay more for American-made goods, but it's hard to justify paying 2-3x what a top tier Chinese one costs when this has so many shortcomings. I'm not sure if I just got a lemon, but I plan on returning this one.

The fast dashcam installation
Ease of use. The cable length is enough to connect from the center of the windshield to the OBD connector. To mount it on the windshield, first clean it with an alcohol pad, then apply it directly.

Cara pero buen producto. Excelente soporte a garantías.

Works perfectly
Easy to install in the car, very compact and good quality. Make sure to complete the setup while satelites are visible (as in not inside) otherwise it doesn't complete the setup and you have to restart at next starup, but once configured it works perfectly well
