Transformers Legacy Deluxe Class Armada Universe Wheeljack, 5.5-inch Converting Action Figure, 8+

This toy has been retooled from War for Cybertron: Siege Sideswipe. In fact, there are multiple toys based on the same figure. This is one of them. Wheeljack was originally an Autobot, but who was injured and surround by fire in the war. Hot Shot tried to rescue his best friend, only to be told not to by his superiors. It was Megatron who rescued him and thus Wheeljack changed his loyalty to the Decepticons. The figure comes with two clubs and an over the shoulder launcher which has a non firing missile. The toy is easy to transform. It's a solid vehicle and robot. You can pose it in a variety of ways. The value for money, it's worth it as it closely resembles the character from the show. In the end, I picked it up as I liked the Armada show. The toy is worth it because it's easy to transform and pose.

This is automatically the best armada Wheeljack figure! He looks spot on to animated counterpart, his face looks amazing and his poseablity is superb! His vehicle mode looks great and is fun to transform! For 17 dollars this is a no brainer if you're a armada fan! (Unfortunately I can't display him with Hotshot since I haven't received mine yet.)

Excelente Transformers

Robot mode doesn’t really have any kibble, car mode looks great and is seamless, and the transformation between the two is easy and well thought out. This is a great figure!

While I was not expecting my first Wheeljack to be an alternate-universe one, a certain announcement I list in the verdict made me deeply-curious about this one, so at the $18 they were going for, I figured I may as well preview the Sideswipe mould before paying double what it retailed for on the Toxitron “Summer Sunset” Sideswipe. = Robot Mode = Yay: + Very striking-to-me colours. I felt the white popped out just as much as the blue. + The moulded slash was loved... + ...alongside the tiny Decepticon Logo + The head detailing was also appreciated. + They very-much embody the “Neon Midnight”/”Up past bed time with Gameboy Advance in-bed with me” feeling, and look. + Additionally, “Halloween” is another thing that's thought of by me when looking at them. Meh: ~The way their arms are configured, you cannot do the “Crossed batons” look. ~ Similarly, the panels behind the arms are just long enough to necessitate pulling the arms to the side to put them behind the main body. Nay: - Getting the accessories into the hands is way more difficult than it should be on my copy. - Their Blaster is seemingly guaranteed to come apart, seeing as how the gold bit barely has any post to plug in. = Accessories = As mentioned above, you get a pair of batons, as well as a blaster that can be shoulder-mounted, or put in-hand. Unfortunately, you need to take these off whether you're going from Alt-to-Robot, or Robot-to-Alt, and the storage posts for the batons are painted. = Transformation = Robot to Alt: I found this to be both simple, and enjoyable, loving how the arms fold into the car mode. Everything also fits together satisfyingly on my iteration of the figure. Alt to Robot: Way less straightforward, with a guitar pick's service needing to be employed to pry the feet out. As well, some things need to be moved way too close to painted areas, leading to (hopefully-unfounded) fears the blue stripe will get scratched. = Alt Mode = Yay: + It was thought to be very sleek, and streamlined. + In spite of the white disappearing, the look is still loved by me. + Storage for all 3 accessories is had. + Transparent windows add more detail, by my measure. Meh: ~ Nothing. Nay: - The back wheels on my pressing don't “spin” so much as they do “grind”. - This makes them roll rather poorly, with the back wheels not rotating at all. = Verdict = While I was hoping I'd love them to a much larger degree than I do, most of the gripes had seem to be particular to my Armada Wheeljack, rather than the mould in-general, and will know next month when Toxitron Sideswipe arrives. Thus, with Wind Shear (Renamed “Hawk” for reasons unknown) coming alongside Powerlinx Red Alert, and 8 other Mini-Cons in November, I can absolutely recommend this one, and will be making them a part of Halloween desk displays in the future.

I purchased this item for my 8-year-old grandson, who loves Transformers and anything that has wheels. He loved it! It only took him a couple of minutes to transform the toy into a car without looking at the instructions. The colors of the toy reflected the depiction on the box. The toy itself appeared durable and stood up to some firm snapping sections in place. This is a good value and a great toy for any kiddo who loves Transformers!

These are being used by our grandson. We think he is happy with them.
