Novation Launchkey Mini 25 MK4 USB MIDI Keyboard Controller

Overall great quality product, I'm a music enthusiast, I have little knowledge on music production but this has enabled me to easily jam and connect to different apps, I'm currently using it with Presonus Studio One 6, it's a great size, keys feel really good, the drum pads are awesome, it does not sound you need to connect it to your computer and monitors, compatible with different software like Ableton, Studio One and free tablet apps, and and it looks awesome on my desktop

So far so good. I haven't dug into all of the features yet, but so far it functions exactly as it should.

All as expected, fit Ableton perfectly!

I did a lot of measurements before I bought this keyboard controller. All my estimates were off, it's actually smaller than I thought! Perfect for me. I'm trying to make my "mobile command center" fit inside the backpack (pictured above it's the Lenovo hardshell something). As you can see, it fits beautifully. I included pictures in front of a computer screen, next to a 17" laptop, and next to a standard computer keyboard for reference. With the app downloaded, it was plug and play into Waveform Pro, and I imagine any DAW that can read USB MIDI will find the keyboard no problem. In my opinion having played with it and the drum pads is the hardware itself is worth the price and is a great deal. For the negative, it's all to do with the "extras" they bundled with it. "Oh wow, Ableton lite! Multiple expensive instruments! (the Orchestral thing is 300 euro), all for free what a deal!" Every. Single. One of them. Requires you to sign up for a separate account, give full permissions for web tracking, give them your address and purchase info (bank, credit card, paypal), download a separate app because their expensive software doesn't have just a VST plugin. It has to have that software up and running on your computer to work with your DAW, which means potentially Meta (Facebook), Google, and several others I stopped reading in the agreement could be watching everything you do on your computer directly. I started with the Orchestra one and signed up through the whole process before realizing that every other one was a different company and required all the permissions. If you don't mind the EU spying on you along with Big Tech (Yes, the Orchestra instruments one is from Germany and require you to give EU permission to view your data even if you don't live in EU), then the extra software packages are a great deal. But I'm suspicious of anything that goes from 300 Euros to free just cause I bought a keyboard controller and has no VST, no way to download and delete the account. TL;DR It's a great deal, very small, good price, decent quality, but the addons spy on you and require a different account with a different company for every one, and probably a different desktop app as well.

Does this work as a Midi input? I guess. Does it work as a Midi input for the included software (Ableton)? Not at all. Ableton evidently has a glitch that will cause it to lock-up when you enable this device as a MIDI controller. This is amazing. What it means is that you can use this as a generic midi input (for Piano Roll etc) but you can't just plug-and-play to use it to control your effects/etc.

Funciona muy bien con mi DAW, la computadora lo reconoció de inmediato sin drivers. Ahora controlo todo desde mi Launchkey Mini 25.

If you already have a 61-key MIDI keyboard and just need all those features in a compact device, this 25-key controller is a great way to save money. The build quality is top notch. The only downside is that the smaller keys can be a bit uncomfortable to play, but it’s manageable if you already own a 61-key keyboard. For existing 61-key users, this is the right choice. Compared to the Arturia Mini, the Launchkey offers more features and much better DAW integration. The drum pads are excellent to play, and the unit is lightweight and portable. The Arturia Mini only has slightly better keys. If you already have a 61-key keyboard, I’d recommend the Launchkey over the Arturia Mini.

do what it says it does. happy with the build quality. not the best keys if you're going for a piano feeling but..but, this is not what you'd go for if, like me, you wanted something compact, light and well build. i wanted smaller keys. Looks good, comes with a usb c to usb A though, picked up a compact, long black usb c to usb c cable for 5 bucks at the grocery store. the freebies that comes with it are a great addition and I think that this was a great purchase and that Although I'm enjoying using it, I'll be still using that one for a while for my travels.

ESPECTACULTAR. tengo varios controladores midi pero este controlador es tremendo, es pequeño pero muy muy funcional para cualquier DAW, yo lo suelo usar con ableton, bitwig y studio one, un acierto sin duda
