I’ve had a few Thuraya handsets over the years and this is my favourite. It feels well built, battery life is good and it’s very cheap to use compared to other networks. Do bear in mind Thuraya doesn’t cover North or South America or The Poles, but across Europe, Africa and the Middle East where I travel, it’s superb. It’s also cheaper than my mobile to use when I’m outside the European Union (£1.80 per minute on mobile v £1.00 a minute using Thuraya). They also do a Thuraya app so my wife my call my Thuraya phone from her mobile for about £1 a minute (landline is £3 a minute). Personally I work on oil rigs off the coast of Angola as well as visiting wells in Kazakhstan and the Thuraya works flawlessly in all of those areas. I also take it with me on holiday just in case - I’ve used it to send texts at the top of Mount Teide in Tenerife! I can highly recommend this phone as well as Thuraya itself.
