The rollers get hot enough to curl dry hair. Wet hair would still be wet after using the curlers. **Q: Will this work for natural 4c course hair?** A: I don’t think so. My hair is curly ringlets but it’s fine and it works just enough. Therefore I don’t think it’ll work on course hair. **Q: Does it have temperature settings** A: No, mine has no temperature settings. Plug it in and red light comes on indicating that it is heating. My instruction sheet says light will turn white when rollers are hot. Does not happen. Light stays red. They probably heat in 3-4 mnutes, but I usually let it heat for about 10 min. max. Keep lid closed while heating. Mine has no on/off switch (design flaw imho), so it's important to unplug the device when finished. **Q: Where are the 12 wire clips stated in the description? Ordered this set because it said it had the wire clips!** A: I did not read anything in the description about any wire clips. It only comes with the “super clips” which I did not like. They seem flimsy, were hard to work with and they left dents in my hair. I have used Conair hot rollers for at least 25 years and have liked them all. This set I like the best. My old set was a different set of Conair rollers and I decided to change it up and buy one with more rollers. The old set had 2 sizes large and very large. My hair is shoulder length and I wanted all the rollers to be one size. I loved that they get warm but not so hot it burns your scalp, which my old set would do when using the metal clips. I find these rollers hold a curl for the full day...and I can wake up and still have fluffy hair. I am deducting one star because the set does not come with the metal clips...only the plastic clips. I ordered a set of metal clips here on Amazon and will likey throw the plastic ones away. The plastic clips do not hold tight while waiting for the rollers to cool. The felt on the rollers hold much better than my old set. Overall pleased I chose this set.
