Exactly what I was looking for. It's so hard to find a sheer red. I do not like the look of an opaque red lip on me, and if that's what you're looking for, this is not your product. The color is sheer, but what color there is is a very neutral red. Keep in mind the sheerness will allow whatever tones are naturally in your bare lips to show through, so the color will seem to lean a bit orange on those with yellow undertones, and a bit fuchsia on those with pink undertones. Because of the sheer formula, this is harder to blot down than normal lipstick and hence doesn't last as long.

The perfect red
There must be a zillion shades of red. For my coloring a bright orangy based red looks best. This is a sort of hybrid between liostick and a gloss, so I need to re-apply it several times a day. I will order it as long as I'm able to get it. Very happy with it.

Great semi-gloss
I'm 68, and I don't want to wear bright red lipstick. This gives me enough color to cover the purple hue of my lips and bring life into my face, without being too flashy or heavy. I usually apply Revlon Ravish Me Red and tissue it off a few minutes before leaving the house, but if I forget to do that, this is in my purse and does the trick just fine.

Not so appealing
I have 25 Revlon lipsticks all of which I love and wear every day, but I'm disappointed with this one. I did not notice that this lipstick was a "Shine", not a matte or a frost, the only others that I have or have even ever seen. This is more like lip gloss than lipstick. It is translucent. I also don't like the color. It is not red at all but a brilliant orange. While I typically like orange shades, I don't care for this one, and the combo of the orange stain around my lips with the lack of true color on my lips means this is going to be donated away.
