Communication is key
As a mum of a non verbal 3 year with autism I've been looking to find a portable device that my son can use to communicate to us with, whether that's with family or at nursery. Then I came across this, we've only had it a few days, it's simple to use and very clear, he's still getting used to it but we've had a successful trip out today when he could tell me it was too loud, and he also likes the yes and no phrases and thankyou, he's even tried verbally saying thankyou ...there is 2 buttons to pre record your own messages but we haven't tried that yet. It's very well made simple to use and affordable, can't recommend enough !!

Great for aphasia sufferers.
Our daughter had a left hemispherotomy in Nov 20 and I soooo wish we had had this then. It was really hard to communicate in the first few weeks after her op as she was left with severe aphasia. This would have made life so much easier. I would imagine anyone who has recently had a stroke and has aphasia would also benefit. Very easy to use. Purpose made so no faffing trying to find an app. Really helpful. The only improvement that could be made would be making the buttons easier to press. A great piece of kit from this company. Thank you!

great device
I brought this for my grandson who is non verbal, he has a talking tablet but can be a bit rough with it, I like this as there is no screen to worry about or to distract him from the sound of the words. (when he gets angry or can't communicate his needs) he throws things down the stairs. I love the programable buttons so we can pick words he knows or uses. it is loud and the words are very clear, the only thing that would make this better is one with yes and no and all the other buttons programable, which would also support him as he develops more complex words. My grandson is very intelligent he can read and spell out words most 5 year old can't but he struggles to let the world know how he feels or what he wants without having to hand lead. This Device has the potential to help him I am very happy with it and he likes it loves the buttons (not yet worked out how to use it to communicate but we are still hopeful he will in time)

Fantastic device for our Sen kids or even the adults .
First of all it comes in the perfect sized box for it .so points for not wasting packaging . It has beautiful colours and very clear visuals and the two programmable buttons are a fantastic idea so you can tailor it to your users needs . With it's small light weight size it is also perfect for taking out and about as it doesn't take up much space . I would highly recommend to anyone to give this a go . Unfortunately my daughter didn't want to use it but I know she would of loved it when she was younger , especially alongside her pecs communication board . . Honestly for the price it's more than worth your money ❤️

A pressing issue!
The buttons are far far too hard to press for a frail old lady to use. A useless device in this circumstance. I'd like to send it back but no doubt it would cost me..... so I'm stuck with something I have no use for!! :-(

Brilliant device for my son!
Good device for my son. He is autistic and has speech delay. He has started saying a good few words but we thought this would help with clarity and less stress for him when we cannot understand him. He has loved it since we got it. The only cons is maybe to have rounder edges as he has thrown it a few times and I worry if the corners hit our younger son they'd hurt. Also with the programmable buttons- these are GREAT but I think there should be a couple more! We added "I want mummy" and "I want daddy" and then wanted "please" and "sorry" too. So we just swapped them when needed. Really easy to use and our youngest son also loves it too! Super smart and for the price it's great how useful it's been, really impressed!

Very happy with this product. My 6 year old son is non verbal and cannot get the more complex acc devices and this has all he needs to communicate his needs to us. He is learning how to use a device to communicate. Great starter acc device

As a speech-language pathologist, I was excited to see a basic AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) device available at a price point the is within reach for many people. This little device is about the size of a television remote control and includes 14 pre-programmed buttons and two that you can program yourself. This will of course not meet most people's communication needs in the long run, but it can be helpful in some situations--for example, as a way to try out a high-tech device, for someone who is in the early stages of learning to communicate with a device, for someone who only needs a device for a short time, or as a backup means of communication. The buttons are relatively easy to activate with a single finger push. I like that the pre-programmed buttons play full sentences (e.g., "I want to watch TV"). The volume is sufficiently loud without being too loud. It is worth noting that the voice sounds like a woman, which might suggest that the device is meant for adults. However, there is also a button that says, "I want to play with toys," which would generally be more appropriate for children. Also, the accent is British, which is worth considering if that would make a difference for your intended user. This device runs on 3 AAA batteries. I have not yet had to replace them, so I am not sure how quickly the device drains them. The device seems pretty sturdy, like it could stand a few accidental drops. That said, I would hesitate to give it to someone who has a habit of throwing or otherwise damaging objects. Overall, this is a nice little basic AAC device.
