Fascinating Learning Experience and Essential for Good Health! Well worth the price! The company really over-delivered with this 12-plate mold kit and I got a world-class experience in Mold concerns and Prevention. So far, I only have used six of the mold plates -- Guest Room, Basement, Garage, Outdoor Deck, Camper and Loft Office and you can see for yourself the incredible growth of mold in many of these damp and dark areas!!! Wowee!!! These six plates were cultivated for 5 full days in a 77 degree walk-in closet (small space heater was used to maintain temp) and it was really fun to check them every single day. I put the plates in ZipLock baggies and handled them very gently so condensation wouldn't spoil the samples. I learned that MOLD is everywhere....(look at the Outdoor plate!) but it doesn't have to take over your space or life. The instructions, Mold Report, and experience was fantastic and I couldn't recommend this company enough. (I did use a P100 Respirator, Safety Goggles and Gloves when handling and took the Photo's outside and suggest you might take similar or even better precautions.) If you are curious about Mold or Potential Mold in your Home, Office, Boat, RV or anywhere, this kit is well worth the price and quite fun to do! I'd wanted to do this for a very long time and the price was right and the value is incredible! This is an awesome project for the entire family and this kit makes a fantastic gift, because there were no separate lab fees. It is easy to do, as the instructions are very thorough and come with a fantastic photo-guide to the types of mold you will encounter. I emailed my photos to the lab and they wrote back with a list of the specific types of mold in each photo -- which allowed me to learn more about them. This is an incredibly educational experience...I valued it immensely.

We were having some health issues in our rental home and suspected mold was the issue. Sure enough we ordered these tests and confirmed it. It was cheap and easy to use. It comes with a little booklet that helps identify the types on mold.

The kit comes with 12 test petri dishes, which gives the user plenty of opportunity to test different areas for various kinds of mold. The analysis of what kind of mold is growing in the petri dish (from a picture) came very quickly and is very in-depth. I found it very useful as it explains the type of mold, where and how it grows, and how to get rid of it. I give this kit and the comany "Kayenqo" an A+. Also, the kit is very easy to use, with easy to follow instructions.

This is a great test kit! 12 plates, and I used them all. It's well packaged with clear instructions. Super easy to use, too. Years ago, I got two plates from a detection company, and it cost $150, and took a month to get results back. This is by far a much better deal, and it worked very well! When I couldn't identify a few molds, I sent off photos in the evening, and had an e-mail with identification for each plate from the company the next morning. Super impressed with this!

I was very upset that I even had to buy a mold testing kit but sadly, I did. I could not afford a professional service to do it so I took a chance on this kit. The kit is easy to use, it has every item you could possibly need to obtain samples, right on down to the q-tips plus protective gloves to wear. Once I emailed over the photos of the mold in the dishes, I had an email back with full reports in just a few hours. Very nice service as I emailed back and forth with them. The only "needs to improve" are the instructions as it does not mention how long the samples need to sit before I should take photos (its 4-5 days) as I emailed them asking and they replied back right away.

Simple, easy to use, low cost mold test for the home. Directions are simple and they give you everything you need for testing and incubating the specimen. The specimens I grew were in very small amounts so hard to tell using the guide, but when I emailed them they were quick to reply, identified the molds, and provided more info when I asked additional questions. Highly recommend!

This was really easy to use and it worked. There was definite growth and I could identify it but to be extra aware, I sent pics to the company that gave me a full report. It was quick, accurate and even helped with ways to eradicate the issue. I recommend this kit if you want to know what’s going on in your home without spending a lot of money.

Test kit instructions for use were easy to follow. The components of this kit are put together for convenient application. I set a testing dish in several rooms in a house where I frequently feel a bit off when visiting. After seeing multiple types of mold grow in these various dishes, my interest to learn about them grew too. I emailed photos with closeups of the types of molds to the Kayenqo company and was thrilled when they responded quickly with names of the molds in each tray, with the corresponding photo for reference. They also included three pages with detailed descriptions of each those molds, where they are found, what impact they might have on people, especially those who are immunocompromised. The 8th page of the report was a list of ways to mitigate mold problems. This feedback exceeded my expectations. Of note, I also set dishes out in our house (we live in a very dry climate), and there was no mold growth in the dishes. The extreme difference in results between two homes was amazing.

I'm so incredibly impressed with this kit and also the follow up advice. Having recieved astronomical quotes for professional testing, I wanted to be sure there was an issue first. The kit comes with clear instructions and 12 test pots. As others have said what makes this a stand out buy for the price is the customer service. It’s quite hard to identify the mould from the pics in the leaflet but they emailed back full info within a day after I sent photos to them. Watching the mould on the pots grow was part disgusting and part fascinating. Has allowed us to take action to hopefully eradicate it. We have a dog who’s been very ill with a recent aspergillus fungus infection and wanted to test the surfaces in our house for this. Results showed that there was aspergillus under the floor area where he sleeps 🙁. Now we’ve had to take the floor up and replace but at least we know! Have the second lot of 6 tests on stand by to retest at later date. (Box comes with 2 sets of 6 tests)

This was the first time I've tested for mold in the house and I wasn't sure what to expect. i needn't have worried as the kit was very easy to use. The booklet/guide supplied with test kit (petri dishes) was excellent and easy to understand. I had to ask for help, though, as I couldn't identify all the mold in the petri dishes so contacted the company asking for help and included photos of the molds. I was delighted to get a reply next day with a brilliant and detailed report, explaining what the molds were etc. What a fantastic service!! I hope to do some repeat tests in the future and can highly recommend this product.
