Realistic wood effect
As is usual with Sizzix this embossing folder is great. It gives a lovely authentic look and feel of wood, the depth is good and excellent effects can be made with Distress inks and other mediums. A really versatile folder which is a great addition to any craft room. Tim Holtz just keeps giving fabulous and unique designs!

Use Heavier Cardstock.
It wasn't quite what I was expecting as it actually cut through the cardstock in one section of the woodgrain design. Despite this it's quite a subtle design overall and a decent size.

Good deep embossing folder
This embossing folder gives a great wood type texture to paper crafts. It seems to work better on paper around 250gsm, but equally does work with lighter paper stocks. Nice 3d texture to the paper. Top Tip: Lightly spray your cardstock with water before embossing and you will find your cardstock doesn't split and the embossing is more 3d.
