Is they anything that can be done about it ?** A: I don't see why you should 'do anything about it'. You paid the asking price but received substandard merchandise. The reservoir should be full of the highlighter liquid. If it is not then 1 it was shipped with none or 2 it leaked so putting any solvent in will not rehydrate what is not there. Send them back and get replacements. **Q: How wide/big are these? Also, would you recommend for school?** A: Overall they measure 13 cm long with a slanted tip of 5 mm. The best thing about them is the reservoir is clear so you can instantly see if it's running out. Plus I think each pen has 10 ml of liquid in them. Far more than you get in any other highlighter.
