TechMatte Magnetic Replacement Cap Compatible with Apple Pencil 1st Generation (with Cap Holder) (Updated Version)

I lost the plastic/magnetic cap on the top of my Apple Pencil. This replaces it perfectly, with the same satisfying ‘snap’ as it pulls itself into place AND it has a silicon bit so I can’t lose it again. I took the plastic cap off for the photo, but it fits very well in the silicon cap holder and I don’t plan to remove it again. The silicon seems pretty robust - I haven’t broken it yet! Although its cheap, its very good.

Good product and replacement for an iPad pen. Not sure the magnet is strong enough on its own but with the strap you won’t lose it.

Fits the iPencil perfectly, little silicone band fits tightly round the pencil and keeps it tethered. It causes a bulge in the channel in my iPad case/cover where the pencil sits, but it still operates and closes enough to shut off the screen. Happy with it and would buy again if needed.

Does the job well and the additional security feature is good because without it I lost the previous cap

I like the way this works. The solid cap fits as well as the original and the rubber sleeve holds the top near the pencil when charging. It cuts down the time I spend looking for the cap when I drop it

Best replacement for my cap I’ve found on here. I hate the rubber ones bc they slide off too easy. This one’s magnet is strong enough. I don’t know the long term of this yet but I think it will be fine. The rubber part that holds the cap can’t be used on the pen holders on a case and it’s not easy enough to slide off to keep in your bag when you’re charging your iPad at someone else’s house so I won’t be using it.

Lost the cap, blah blah, we can skip that. If you need a replacement one, this fits the bill. Design wise it's basically the same. I was concerned that the material wouldn't quite match, but it looks and feels just like the original one. I've dropped a star for two reasons - it's a touch pricey for what it is (but at least it's good). Also it's not particularly tight fitting. You can move it a bit when it's on the pencil, however this is exactly how the original Apple one behaved, at least on mine. I'm torn on whether a perfect copy, including the flaws, is a good thing or a bad thing. Either way this is pretty simple - do you need a new pencil cap? If yes, then this is a great option. Not cheap, but there is no considerably cheaper alternative that matches the quality of this one. It also comes with a silicone cap holder to attach it to your pencil which is nice. But I personally don't like how it looks so I don't use it.
