I did things in the opposite order that you SHOULD buy things. I am relatively new to leverless controllers. I've only been using them since a few months after the release of Street fighter 6. I used to use joysticks and fight pads. Since I am fortunate to have the funds I have I bought some of the more expensive leverless controllers first, which was a mistake. Because if I didnt realize how damn good the Haute42 (COMSOX) R16 was then I may have never wasted money on the other (Kitsune, Snackbox micro, Victrix FS12, and Punk Workshop). All of the more expensive ones I bought were fine, but I always found something wrong that made me continue the search for "The One". This R16 is a great entry but also great as a permanent solution. For the people that say it creaks a bit TIGHTEN THE SCREWS. They dont tighten them all the way when they shipped it. Now it still creaks but not half as much. That is the only downside for me. The button switches are replaceable and button caps are too. You can add artwork under the plastic clear top. You can make your own or buy one with a custom artwork through the FOCUS ATTACK site.Barebones, this thing is well worth the price. I've come to the conclusion that if you aren't doing some custom art or box for your leverless then Haute42 R16 is a great start and that the other companies are kind of ripping us off. I had an issue with the razer Kitsune and Razer wouldnt help fix my situation so never again Razer, although the kitsune is a great device, Haute 42 has a similar device for 2/3 of the price. Haute42 is my new favorite manufacturer of leverless controllers. I am curious to see what their more expensive offerings are like because this R16 is pretty damn good.

As my first ever leverless, it does its job great. Buttons are responsive, not too big and doesn’t slide much, it’s not too loud and it looks great in my room. Overall a great product for a fair price

LED config was super easy, it's comfy and responsive and has all the buttons you could want. It creaks a bit if you hold it in your lap so it's best used on one of those lap desks you used back when you were in school or a table top. Don't forget to pick up a Brook FGC adapter to make this and all of your fight sticks work on the PS5 otherwise it disconnects every 8 minutes (by Sony's design on the PS5)My first leverless and it's AWESOME. I will be buying a 2nd soon.

On face value out of the box, its a good budget fight pad. As I tried it out, three issues:1) The clear acrylic face plate must have been a slightly different size than the underlying board, which caused the entire thing to warp and not sit flat on my desk2) The entire thing could twist and bend and had no structural stability - coupled with low grade buttons, the entire thing felt cheap3) They use METAL SCREWS on the bottom of it, which scratched up the laminate of my desk within 2 minutes of using itIf you're that strapped for cash, don't bother buying one of these, use your controller. If you want to go leverless, spend the extra $30 to get any of the much better budget alternatives.

I have controllers that cost twice as much that aren't as impressive as the R16. The weight of the buttons is fantastic, customization is great, worked right out of the box on PC. Really enjoying it so far.
