Very good big zapping capabilities and flexible power source
Really pleased with this bug zapper . All the parts were present and arrived intact thanks to the good packaging . Instructions come in a handy little booklet type and are nice and easy to read and follow . I set mine up for when we are sat on the patio under the gazebo . Both me and my other half get very bad reactions to insect bites so we need to keep those pests away from us when we are relaxing on the evening or day in the garden . The bug zapper works brilliantly at its job of zapping any flying bugs that got near the light , so so far we have been bite free . The bonus for me personally is the zapper was powered for free too by the solar panel . Easy to set up charged up well and had it running for 5 hours and was still going when we ran out of charge lol . I like that it can also be charged via a USB so even if you’ve not had enough sun to charge the unit you have a way of charging it for use. I’ve got a couple of these type electric bug zappers and usually the noise when a bug hits the bars is very loud and makes me jump , however this one I found not to be so loud so very pleased about that too. All in all I can’t fault this product .

Effective fly zapper
This is a great way to lessen the amount of flying insects around your house in an eco friendly energy efficient way. Summer is great but with warmer days come increased flying insects which working mainly from home as I do can be annoying to have the flying insects buzzing around. Although it remains to be seen how effective it will be as we approach summer - I did find this an effective way to reduce flies in early May. First of all out box this is really easy to set up. It’s pretty much ready to go. There are a number of ways to put this up from sticking with the included posts in the earth outdoors to having these hanging up by the included chain. I have this sitting next to the food disposal bin where we tend to get the flies. The zapper came ready charged and you can choose to have it on a number of options. Always off. Auto (turns on when natural light diminishes) or always on. I really liked the solar panel which means you can charge it during the day and have it running at night. This has been effective so far. When I first heard it getting a fly I wasn’t sure what it was (a popping zap kind of noise) but when I went in inspect it there was a dead fly. I think this will be great for the summer to have it running overnight and lessen the amount of flies in your home for the coming day. Overall this is a good way to reduce the amount of flies in your home. It’s a little pricey but you will be able to run it relatively cost free because of the solar panel so a sound investment if you want an effective way to lessen flies.

Well built and keeps bugs away from me!
This bug zapper is superb! I work in my shed doing crafts all year round - fine in Winter but in the warmer weather I like to keep the doors open but get bombarded with bugs attracted to the light. I'm a hopeless mess when it comes to bugs and look like I've walked into a giant cobweb with all the flailing around.... It was super easy to put together - I screwed on the solar panel, attached the wires and pushed the 2 leg poles into the unit, then put the spikes on and pushed it into the garden stones. It took me about 3 minutes in total. There is a switch on the side for On / Off or Auto and I have switched it to Auto so it comes on automatically when it turns to dusk. I didn't charge it beforehand, I just put it straight in the garden and it has self charged enough to stay on till about 4am which is much longer than I need, but a positive point. You can charge it with the USB cable provided if needed and the solar panel can be hung somewhere separate to the unit if you need it to. I put this up in the garden opposite my shed doors and it works so well. There is an audible zap when it gets a bug - and they just drop to the floor - mine is outside so I have no issues with them not being caught in a tray but you would if it was inside. For me, this is worth every penny - I've not had a single bug in my shed since I started using this :)

Great zapper
This is a great zapper and a must if you want to protect your friends and family on your next outdoor activity such as a barbecue. It comes with a pair of ground spikes to dig into your garden, or can be hung up using a chain. (mine didn't come with a chain for some reason) It also has a built in battery which can be manually charged using a USB C power supply or via the built in Solar Panel which can be mounted and adjusted on the top, connected via it's own dedicated cord and plug. The unit also has a permanent switch on facility as well as an auto-on mode, which would turn on at low light level. The auto mode is ideal if you plan on leaving this outside in the summer, thus it would be working most efficiently, charging in the day and working it's magic at night, and you can switch to full on when you're around it during late on in the day or evening should you need that additional protection. What I think this could have had is a battery level indicator so that you could charge it for days when you don't get much sun, but apart from this, it's a great unit, built very well. Great tray for dispensing the left-overs of the bugs and easy to fit the tray back in. Overall- I can recommend this.
